This pledge aims to create a tennis community that is fun, safe, inclusive, and kind by promoting fair play and respect to all USTA Eastern program participants (players, parents, coaches, officials, tournament directors and spectators). We can achieve this by supporting and observing good sportsmanship and fair play.

I pledge to:

• Set a positive example and treat everyone with respect (players, parents, coaches, tournament directors, officials and spectators)
• Stress the importance of fair play, inclusion and good sportsmanship
• Cheer respectfully for winners and good points
• Allow players to resolve on-court disagreements
• Follow USTA Safe Play policies, the USTA Code and the USTA Eastern Sportsmanship pledge

We believe that:

• Everyone who plays a sport deserves to feel safe, supported, and treated with respect, kindness, and dignity.
• Pressure and competition should be met with respect, professionalism, courage and compassion.
• We should check in on and support one another.
• We should inspire future generations to be champions on and off the court.
• Tennis should be inclusive of all players (regardless of ability, age, race, religion, gender or sexual orientation).
• Tennis is built on respect for one another and the game.
• We are Team Eastern, the future, and champions for tennis and each other.
