  • Time Commitment Statement
The International Live Events Association strongly recommends that all nominees consult with their supervisors, business partners, etc., and discuss the time commitment required for service to the association, and seek their support.

The time commitment to serve on the Board and/or as an Officer varies depending on the activities of the association and the Board but averages 10-15 hours per month. Some examples of monthly activities include Board meetings, chairing an international committee and leading committee meetings, working on initiatives from assigned task forces, social sharing of ILEA events/programs, and responding to email actions between official meetings.

The time commitment to serve as a Regional Vice President (RVP) varies depending on the needs of their respective region but averages 5-10 hours per month. Some examples of monthly activities include providing support to the local chapters and helping remove barriers to success, liaison between local and international leadership, and foster connections and opportunities for members. RVPs are asked to attend at least one board meeting for each assigned chapter (in-person or virtually), hold a monthly chapter president call for their region, attend a monthly RVP call and ILEA Board of Governors Meetings.

I understand the time requirements needed to carry out the duties as an RVP, Board member and/or Officer of ILEA International. I feel that I am able to carry out both the duties of my current employment and the duties of an ILEA Leader. I also understand that I may receive a follow-up call from the ILEA Nominations Committee for clarification of my written answers in this application.

    Board of Governors Financial Commitment
Members of the ILEA Board of Governors are responsible for their own travel expenses.
    * Budget allotment and travel reimbursement policy is subject to periodic review and is
subject to change with or without notice.
