GMB Local Meetup Groups Application and Agreement

GMB Local Meetup Groups are in-person events organized through the Gay Men’s Brotherhood (GMB). They are hosted by members and leaders of the GMB community and the purpose is to support the development of conscious community and authentic connection amongst gay men.

The mission and vision of the GMB is to foster safe and inclusive spaces for gay men to heal shame and move towards authenticity so more meaningful connections can be established in the gay community. The GMB is a personal development community and this must be taken into consideration when organizing an event, however events do not need to be exclusively personal development in nature.

Please follow the event rules and regulations seen below while hosting your GMB Local Meetup Group event. If the rules and regulations are not adhered to, it may lead to termination of your ambassador privledges.

Some ideas include: games night, hiking/walks, picnic in the park, beach day, movie night, bowling, yoga, museum trip, art gallery visit, dinner events, arts & crafts, food crawl, rollerblading, biking, sporting events, and so on.

Event rules and regulations: Ambassador

No self promotion or using the event to promote anything other than the Gay Men’s Brotherhood.
These are free events and monetising them would be a breach of this agreement.
This is an extension of the GMB brand so please be conscious of that and conduct yourself ethically and professionally.
This is a sober event and the intention is to promote connection where substances are not required to connect with each other.
The GMB will provide you with promotional material for the event to maintain brand consistency. Please use the promotional material we provide to you to create your own event.
The logos and graphics provided to you shall be used solely in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement. Any use of the Logo outside the scope of this Agreement requires prior written approval from GMB administration/leadership
Please take a group photo during the event that can be shared on any of our GMB socials.

Event rules and regulations: Participant

No self promotion or using the event to promote anything other than the Gay Men’s Brotherhood
This is an extension of the GMB brand so please be conscious of that and conduct yourself ethically and professionally
This is a sober event and the intention is to promote connection where substances are not required to connect with each other
Please feel free to take photos and videos during the event and tags us in the posts
The intention of the connection in these events is platonic, please be mindful of this when attending the event
