    ABOUT THE JAX COMMUNITY FAIR

    CONNECTIONS TO THE NATIONS, LLC., HAS BEEN PRODUCING THE JAX COMMUNITY FAIR SINCE 2002. IT IS AN INDOOR COMMUNITY SERVICE EVENT, SUPPORTED BY THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE.

    OUR COMMITMENT IS TO OUR COMMUNITY AND OUR PURPOSE IS TO GIVE COMPANIES THE OPPORTUNITY TO EDUCATE AND INFORM OUR COMMUNITY OF THE SERVICES AVAILABLE TO THEM. THESE SERVICES MAY INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: LEGAL, HEALTHCARE, EDUCATIONAL, FINANCIAL, INSURANCE, SENIOR, CHILD, AND MATERNITY SERVICES OFFERED MAINLY IN THE DUVAL COUNTY AREA. WE LOOK FORWARD TO YOU JOINING US!

    *Please keep in mind that all participants must adhere to all UNF rules and regulations specified in this agreement.

    *ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST SIGN IN AT THE WELCOME TABLE WITH THE TIME THEY ARRIVED, AND SIGN OUT ONCE THEIR SHIFT IS DONE, TO PICK UP THEIR COMMUNITY HOURS CERTIFICATE.

    NO COMPANY LOGOS ARE ALLOWED ON VOLUNTEER T-SHIRTS .
  • I, the volunteer agree to the following terms and conditions:


    • You will be assigned a time slot and an area to work which will be discussed with you prior to the event. You must let us know emmediately if you are unable to cover your shift or need to leave in an emergency.
    • We, the Volunteers are responsible for arriving at least 10 minutes prior to our shift.
    • All Volunteers must park in the designated parking area.
    • Unless specified in writing, there will be no exclusivity of any company or products. If a sponsor or vendor informs you they have exclusivity please verify with your supervisor or event staff member and have them speak to the vendor/sponsor directly.
    • You must report any vendor who does not comply to UNF rules, if they continue with the noncompliance please report it to one of the event organizers and they will ask them to leave the premises and be excorted out of the building by security.
    • Please call Arlene Ortiz, Janette Falcon if there are any vendors wanting to break down early. NO EARLY BREAKDOWN will be permitted unless approved by Arlene or Janette.
    • If someone needs to breakdown please make sure they have our permission and stay close by to ensure it is done in a manner which does not disrupt the traffic flow of attendees on the hallways. 
    • Connection to the Nations, LLC., is not responsible for any minors attending without an adult. Parents are responsible for their children and must always accompany them. Please ask any children who are alone where their parent is and try to contact one of the staff to find their parent. 
    • Minor Volunteers must have their parents permission to work the event.
    • Volunteers may not consume or give away any alcoholic beverages on or around the premises before (set up) during the event, or after (during break down) of the event. 
    • No one is allowed to sell canned or bottled drinks, such as sodas, water, or any food items.
    • Should you see any companies selling or giving away drinks please inform them the venue does not allow it. 
    • Check and make sure that companies who arrive to set up are the same as the the name on the table they were assigned.
    • If a vendor does not have a tablecloth, please let them know we can supply a table cloth for an additional fee of $15.Please call your supervisor to take care of the payment and bring them the tablecloth
    • Also inform vendors their table cloths must be ironed or steamed, and we can provide the steamer if they need it.
    • Marijuana graphics, posters or products with marijuana pictures or may NOT be sold at this event. Please report it to the event staff if you see items or visual merchandising related to marijuana, so they are able to address the issue.
    • Unless a networking badge is purchased, and the person is wearing the badge, it is strictly prohibited to hand out flyers or give out any information about another event at this UNF facility.
    • Anyone, vendor, sponsor or visitor, who is caught placing any advertising on walls or bathroom of the venue, will be escorted out of the building. Please report anyone you see doing any of the above. 
    • By confirming your participation in this event, you are authorizing Connections to the Nations, LLC, use photos or videos of yourself for promotional purposes during and after the event.
    • We the Volunteers are aware that Connections to the Nations, LLC., reserves the right of admission, and that noncompliance of any of the above regulations, can be cause for us to be banned from this and future events.

  •  Release of Responsibility Statement

    Connection to the Nations, LLC., owners and producers of the Jax Community Fair, its Agency, JJ Promotions Group, LLC,. and the event venue, The University of North Florida, assume no responsibility for any financial loss theft or injury, during, after or prior to their event. Volunteers shall hold the producers, venue and all their affiliates, employees agencies & contractors harmless from any actions, suits, claims, payment costs or damages incurred or arising from their participation in this event. Event dates: Saturday April 19, 2025. 

    Non Compete Clause

    Event participants acknowledge that their participation will expose them to information, ideas, methods, and contacts that are the intellectual property of the event organizers and producers. Participants may not duplicate this event in whole or part. If participants violate this agreement clause, the organizer/producer may seek financial damages. 

    Signature, If you are a minor, your parent or guardian must be in agreement of your participation in the event and must be aware of all of the rule and regulations stated in this document. The parent or guardian furthermore agrees to release all event organizers, affiliates, employees and venue, of all responsibility upon signature of this applcation.

  • This Document is a contract between Connections to the Nations, LLC., owner and producer of the Jax Community Fair and the above-mentioned Volunteer. Upon its signature and acceptance, it will serve as a binding legal document. All Volunteers must comply with the terms listed above, and behave in a professional manner at all times during the time they volunteer at the event. Any violent, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave the premises or call your parent or guardian to come pick you up.
