GLTA Sanctioning Request

Dear Group Leaders,

Thank you for your continued support of the GLTA. Your efforts are greatly appreciated!

Please enter your group details in each required fields in the form below. If you have multiple tournaments for us to list on the GLTA World Tour Calendar - please add each tournament Individually. You can do so by filling out this form multiple times.

Once we've approved your group and tournament for sanctioning and you have paid your membership fee, we can then place each submitted tournament on the GLTA World Tour Calendar. We will also send you a license to use the tournament software Tournament Planner to enter registration details and list your tournament on the GLTA tournament registration website. This site is where players will go to register for your tournament. Note that a third-party vendor provides this registration website and tournament planner software. Though we can customize them, many of the features are limited to what has been implemented by the vendor for all of their clients, not only GLTA.

Though you will get one license per group for the entire GLTA year, you will need to submit a form to sanction each tournament. It is recommended that you fill this form out at least 8 months prior to your tournament(s) and publish registration at least 6 months before your tournament. Your registration start date can be set at a later date.

Once the completed form and the funds required for GLTA sanctioning are submitted and approved by the GLTA Board, the tournament will be included on the GLTA Tour Schedule, and your group will receive sanctioning for another year. The GLTA Board will approve date selections on a first come first serve basis, with special consideration given to long-standing tournaments. Once the application has been submitted and approved, the member organization must receive GLTA Board approval before changing the published tournament dates. It is the responsibility of the member groups to inform the GLTA Board of any Director or President changes made after submission of the approved sanctioning application.

Payment Agreement

I understand and AGREE to pay my GLTA fees, as outlined below, when requested.
There are a couple of costs associated with GLTA Sanctioning. One is the yearly membership fee ($175 USD). This fee is charged each year, by the GLTA Treasurer. This typically is sent after sanctioning, before or after the tournament. The second fee is the per player fee. This is charged after the tournament and is ($5 USD) per player of your tournament. We know that some players enter and do not play. Either you or the ranking director (during ranking processing) will remove all the players who have not actually played. The Treasurer will then send you a bill to pay this per player fee. The total fee will be $5 times the number of players.

It's the tournament teams responsibility to budget for these fees and to pay them on time, when requested by the GLTA treasurer.
