2025 Parade Rules & Regulations
- The parade will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m.. Please note ending locations and directions for large bands.
- Line up times are as follows:
- Division 1 and 2 at 9:15 am.
- Division 3 and 4 at 9:30 am.
- The Borough of Glassboro and the Memorial Day Parade Committee does not provide open cars, vehicles or convertibles for non-marching participants. You must provide your own transportation.
- Any group of children marching must have sufficient adult supervision to oversee their safety.
- For the safety of all participants, especially children, driving and/or parking is prohibited on Lehigh Road from Route 322 to Cornell Road from 9 am to 11:00 am.
- LARGE BANDS: All large bands must report for staging at the Glassboro High School parking lot, 560 Joseph L. Bowe Blvd. to be transported to their division. The buses will begin boarding at 8:45 am sharp. Please make sure your members are prepared to board together. Return shuttle service will be provided.
- For the safety of everyone, NO items shall be thrown from moving vehicles. If any participant plans to distribute free items to the crowds along the parade route, please be sure to consult with the parade committee regarding distribution – use caution when distributing items to prevent injury and/or potential hazard to spectators and participants.
- All motor vehicle participants (including motorcyclists) must provide a copy of a valid.Please upload these documents below:
- Inspection
- Registration
- Insurance
- Driver's License of the Insured
- All participants operating a motor vehicle (including motorcycles) and/or travelling the roadway will be expected to follow NJ Title 39 Motor Vehicle Code.
- Any group participating in the parade cannot wear “colors” and/or apparel that represents or is affiliated with gang related activity.
- Motorcycle participants and groups will not be allowed to perform wheelies and/or burnouts and must wear a helmet.
- No signage or speech shall be permitted in the parade if deemed inappropriate for children or families, is political in nature, is political campaign signage or material, or is perceived as a threat of violence. Any individual, vehicle or float in violation of this rule may be dismissed from the parade immediately by the parade organizers.
- All bands are asked to stop and perform a patriotic song at the Veterans Memorial, which has been relocated to the new town square at Main & High.
- The parade will officially end for participants at High and Academy. Shuttle service will be available on College Avenue.
- The line up is designed to provide a balance between the patriotic theme and the entertainment elements of the parade. It is essential that all participants remain in the order that they are assigned and keep the pace set by the lead car.
