    The Canowindra PA & H Association - hereby referred to as Canowindra Show Society, is a not-for-profit which aims to produce an event that combines the wider Canowindra community, entertainment and competitions in a financially sustainable, well-organised and safe atmosphere.

    Membership cost: $25 per year.

    By joining the Canowindra Show Society as a financial member, you will be entitled to the following:

    The right to vote at meetings. Complimentary gate entry tickets for: 1x member, 1x associate, any school-age children living in the household (to be named at time of membership application. Financial membership will be effective only on receipt of payment and will apply from 1 July 2026 - 30 June 2027 and will need to be renewed each year.

    Lifetime/honorary members are encouraged to fill out the membership application to ensure details are current but will not be charged.

  • Show Society Members' Code of Conduct

    1. Members are bound by the Canowindra Show Society. Constitution when acting in that capacity and the Committee is bound to adhere to the same provisions.

    2. Members are to act honestly and in good faith, strictly complying with the law and must never behave in a manner likely to bring discredit to the Canowindra Show Society.

    3. Members are to demonstrate respect and courtesy in all interactions with other Members, show officials, volunteers, competitors and the general public.

    Show Society Committee Members' Code of Conduct

    4. Committee Members must not take advantage of holding a position and must not make improper use of any information gained as a member of the Canowindra Show.

    5. Committee Members must accept that confidential information received as a member of the Committee remains the property of the Society and may not be disclosed or allowed to be disclosed by a Committee Member unless the Society authorises that disclosure.

    6. Committee Members must accept that all discussion, comments and opinions expressed in a meeting must remain confidential and not discussed outside the meeting.

    7. Committee Members must declare any personal interest in any relevant matter and withdraw from the Committee's dealing with that matter. This also includes matters affecting family members, close associates or organisations with which the Member is closely associated, that come before the Committee.

  • 8. Committee Members are to demonstrate independent judgement, taking all reasonable steps to be satisfied of the soundness of all decisions, including policy, practice and financial decisions made by the Committee. Still, they must accept majority decisions made after proper formal discussion.

    9. Committee Members are encouraged to recognise the efforts of other Members and Volunteers as well as being welcoming towards new Committee members and open to new ideas and suggestions.

    10. Committee Members are to hold a Working with Children Check which will be recorded in the Canowindra Show Society Register.

    In signing this Code of Conduct I confirm that I have read and understood the Canowindra Show Society Code of Conduct and will abide by it. In understand that any alleged breach of the Code of Conduct may see the procedures outlined in the Canowindra Show Society Constitution or associated Regulations invoked against me.
