    2025 Sound of Brownsburg Member Registration

  • This registration is required for all members (Brass, Woodwinds, Color Guard, & Percussion) of the Sound of Brownsburg Marching Band.

    Registration should be completed by March 20 for Winds and Percussion and by April 25 for Color Guard.  Current 7th Grade Student (next year's 8th Grade) Register by March 20 as well.

    NOTE: Registration is NOT COMPLETE until:
    1. The first payment has been made (due no later than March 20 for Winds & Percussion/April 25 for Color Guard/March 20 for incoming 8th grade.)
    2. This registration form is completed and submitted. It includes the Financial Agreement form and the Commitment Form.

  • Student/Parent Commitment Form

  • Both my child and I have read and understand the rules and regulations for membership of the Brownsburg High School Marching Band Program. He/She has my permission to participate in this elective course and extracurricular activity which requires regular attendance outside of the normal school day and on weekends. He/She will meet the eligibility criteria, attendance requirements, and behavioral standards listed in the handbook.  Should a student not be in attendance for rehearsal, they are subject to removal or not performing in the band.  If a student does not rehearse appropriately, they are subject to removal or not performing with the band.

    He/She is aware a director must be clearly told by May 20  (Winds and Percussion) or May 20 (Color Guard) if they plan to no longer continue with Marching Band. There will be no monetary refunds made after that point.

    The student agrees - and I (as the parent/guardian) affirm - that he/she will abide by the provisions stated in the Marching Band Handbook. The student and I understand that while participating in a school sponsored event, school policy guidelines will be enforced. Students who behave inappropriately will face disciplinary action as outlined in the Brownsburg High School Student/Parent Handbook.

  • Brownsburg Bands desires to help students display their talents in the public arena through publications, photos, video, art display, and other media means. The intent of Brownsburg Bands is to spotlight the students of our school in an appropriate and positive manner. The student and parent(s) are requested to provide BHS and the Brownsburg Band & Guard Program permission to release the student ’s work, talent, and other information before such displays are made. All band and guard members have a unique talent in the performing arts.

    The student's talent, work and/or information may be released in the following manner: Various forms of print and electronic media throughout the course of the upcoming season.  These may include, but are not limited to, photos or videos of my student on Brownsburg Bands various social media outlets, the Brownsburg Band/s website, and/or on the band's public photo/video sharing page.

  • Brownsburg Band and Orchestra Parents, Inc. (BBOP) Marching Band Financial Obligation Agreement

  • By participating in Marching Band you are entering a financial contract with BBOP, not with Brownsburg Community School Corporation.

    It is the goal of the band program to offer the best opportunities for your child, the regular payment of fees is essential to the band program’s overall functioning. It is never the goal of the program nor BBOP to limit participation due to financial hardship. However, we MUST ask that all families do their part for the continued success of the Brownsburg Band program.

    Registration is NOT COMPLETE until the first payment has been made. If you choose to pay by check, it should be made payable to BBOP. It must be turned in to Kristi Hartley in the Band/Fine Arts Office - registration is not complete until that payment has processed.
