ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
1. Applicant must complete the required application and provide all necessary supporting materials by May 5, 2025 to be considered for a scholarship.
2. The Nichols Divinity Graduate Scholarship will award a scholarship to selected applicants who satisfy all of the following requirements:
a) academic performance,
b) financial gap not covered by other scholarships or grants,
c) record of on-going service to the church and
d) financial support to the church.
3. To be eligible for a scholarshipm the applicant must have been a member* of The Park Church for at least 6 months prior to the application deadline. Also, the applicant must have a record of on-going service and financial support to the church.
(*Membership in the Church shall consist of baptized believers who have been immersed in water accordance with the New Testament order and have given evidence of their repentance toward God, and of their personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as Redeemer and Savior)
4. Applicant must show proof of admission to an accredited post-secondary institution or seminary.
VERIFICATION OF APPLICATION MATERIALS
The Scholarship Ministry, through its official representatives, reserves the right to verify information submitted in support of an application and to request additional information when needed.
SELECTION OF SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS
1. Interviews will be held Thursday, May 15, 2025. Applicants will be notified of their interview time.
2. The benefactor will make and approve the final seletion(s).
3. The scholarship recipient will e recognized at The Park Church graduation Sunday celebration.
ADMINISTRATION OF SCHOLARSHIP
1. Funds awarded will be issued in the name of the institution that the recipient indicates he/she will attend. If a scholarship recipient determines that he/she cannot enroll as intended, he/she must provide a written notice to the Scholarship Ministry no later than ten (10) calendar days after the semester or quarter begins. The dispensation of funds will be determined at the discretion of the Scholarship Ministry.
2. Scholarships will be subject to adjustment based on other financial assistance received by the student.
3. All scholarships will be finalized upon receipt of the student’s final financial aid award letter. If the Scholarship Ministry determines that the student’s direct school costs (tuition, room, board and books) have been paid by another source, the scholarship will be forfeited and will be returned to the ministry’s general account. No funds will be paid to the student or carried over into future years.
4. Scholarship recipients must earn at least a 3.0 during the first semester in order to receive the second half of the scholarship. Recipients who do not earn at least a 3.0 during the first semester will forfeit the second half of their scholarship. Scholarships will not be carried over into future years.
