Thank you for participating in this survey, conducted by UKATA, to assess the use of all-in-one PPE/RPE units (hardhat, face shield, and positive air pressure respiratory protection) in asbestos work.
There has been growing discussion about the suitability of these units, particularly regarding their decontamination effectiveness. Some organisations have raised concerns that these units cannot be cleaned adequately, potentially making them unsuitable for use in asbestos environments.
The purpose of this survey is to collect real-world data from asbestos training providers, removal contractors, and professionals across the industry. Your feedback will help shape UKATA’s engagement with HSE and PPE manufacturers to seek further clarification and industry guidance on this matter.
The survey should take approximately 5 minutes to complete. If you are aware of others who could contribute valuable insights, we encourage you to share this survey link with them.
All responses will remain anonymous, and the findings will be compiled into a report to support further industry discussions.
