SNR Scholarship FAQ
Who is eligible for scholarships?
All SNR participants, no matter, their age, gender, housing situation, or race are eligible for SNR Scholarships. We encourage all who think they may benefit to apply.
What does the scholarship cover?
Adult LIFE Group: Scholarships will be applied to monthly billing and go towards the daily attendance fee. The participant is still responsible for activity fees (bowling, lunch, movie, crafts, etc).
When can I apply for a Life Group Scholarship?
Window 1- Sept 1-15
Window 2- March 1- 15
What do I need to fill out a Scholarship Application?
- Participants must have an updated registration form on file to be considered for scholarships. Applications will be denied otherwise.
- If participants are new to SNR we require a scheduled visit day to ensure the program is a proper fit for the participant.
- We encourage participants to be involved in the application process. If the participant needs assistance with writing, that is allowed.
- Make sure to fill out the LMI section of your registration paperwork, this helps us calculate total scholarship dollars awarded.
How are scholarships determined?
SNR has a Scholarship Committee of community members and business professionals to determine scholarship eligibility to maintain fairness and to make unbiased decisions. Funds are limited, however the Scholarship Committee does their best to fairly distribute available funds.
What can cause an application to be denied?
While we do not want to turn anyone away, there are things that can cause an application to be automatically denied. These things include late application submittal, no current registration on file or past code of conduct violations.
Are there requirements to keep and maintain my scholarship?
Yes. All scholarship recipients must be in good standing with our Code of Conduct. Infractions of the Code of Conduct may result in loss of scholarship funds. Also, attendance must be maintained for amount of awarded days.
Is there a way to apply for a partial scholarship?
Yes. Applicants can choose to receive 50% or 100% of the allocated scholarship amount.
Do I need to fill out a different application twice a year?
Yes. SNR requires a new application to be submitted biannually.
Will I receive cash based on scholarship approval?
No, scholarship funds will be deducted as invoices are completed each month.
How will I know if I receive a scholarship?
We will email the participant’s payee informing them of the acceptance and what percentage of the scholarship they will be receiving once the application window has closed. Therefore, we require the payee email on the Scholarship Application.
