SLB Radio Summer Camp Registration
SLB Radio Summer Camps offer students one-of-a-kind experiences at the SLB Youth Media Center, including opportunities to learn new skills, get creative, make new friends, and have their voices be heard. Camps are centered on project creation, designed to help all students to walk away with original audio projects to share with family, friends, and SLB Radio listeners.

Enrollment fees include daily lunch and snacks, an SLB Radio t-shirt, project materials/equipment, and digital copies of work created by your child.

Camps are designed to be a two-week experience: in week one, we'll focus on learning new skills and community building through hands-on activities. In week two, campers will have the opportunity to work with more independence as they put their new skills to work. While we hope that all campers will be able to spend two weeks with us, we offer a limited number of slots for campers who are only able to attend during week one.

Schedule: Camps take place at the SLB Youth Media Center, co-located within the Children’s Museum at 10 Children’s Way, Pittsburgh PA 15212. Each camp session runs Monday - Friday, with activities taking place from 10 am to 3 pm daily. Campers may arrive as early as 9:45 am, and must depart no later than 3:30 pm.*

Location: Campers are expected to stay on-site at the Youth Media Center for the full duration of each camp day. Occasionally, campers may have the opportunity to participate in off-site activities located within a short walking distance of the Youth Media Center (i.e. Nova Place, Buhl Park, etc.). During such off-site activities, campers will be supervised by SLB camp staff.*

Payment: By submitting this form and remitting payment, your child will be officially enrolled in the camp(s) selected above. Camp fees are refundable through May 31, 2025, minus a $50 administrative fee. After May 31, 2025, camp fees are not refundable.*

SLB Radio Release Form

Information Release: I consent to having my child’s basic information (name, school, grade level, date of birth, and days of attendance) shared with the Allegheny County Department of Human Services.

Medical Release: In the event of an emergency situation, I authorize SLB Radio to contact emergency personnel to transport my child to the emergency room. I agree that SLB Radio is not responsible for any costs or expenses incurred.

Media Release: SLB Radio Productions offers a wide range of media-making programs for youth, giving students the opportunity to learn about digital recording, editing, writing, and related skills as they work with peers and adult mentors in a professional environment at SLB Radio’s Youth Media Center.

Work created during these programs may include audio recordings as well as photographs, short videos, news articles, social media posts, and other related media which SLB Radio Productions may share online and/or in print for the purpose of documentation, promotion, and–most importantly–celebrating the voices of the youth we serve.
