The Quranic Arabic Certificate is designed for students who seek to deepen their understanding of the Quran by developing proficiency in Quranic Arabic. Whether you are looking to strengthen your personal connection to the Quran or build a strong foundation for further Arabic studies, this program provides a structured and supportive learning experience.
This application allows us to learn more about you—your background, aspirations, and commitment to studying Quranic Arabic. Before you begin, please note the following:
- The program is open to students 16 years and older with a strong interest in learning Quranic Arabic.
- No prior Arabic coursework is required, though students must be able to read Arabic proficiently, particularly the Quran.
- Applicants will be asked to submit a short reflection on why they want to enroll in the program.
Scholarships & Financial Aid
Students interested in applying for financial aid may be eligible for the Sayyid al-Radhi Scholarship, which provides merit-based awards covering 25% to 50% of tuition. This scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate academic potential, dedication to Islamic learning, and active engagement with their studies.
To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must submit:
- A 250-word statement of purpose outlining their passion for Islamic studies, why they chose to study at Mufid, and how this scholarship will support their academic and personal goals.
- An unofficial transcript from any previous academic institution.
- A character reference letter from a religious scholar.
- Scholarship recipients must maintain a 3.0 GPA and are encouraged to participate in the seminary’s academic and community initiatives.

Please note that a nonrefundable application fee of $100 is required at the end of the application. Be sure to complete all sections carefully, as incomplete applications cannot be processed.
