    Workshop Description: Lino cut squares, scarves using natural printing techniques and Keepsakes:

    This 1.5-day workshop will explore Aboriginal fabric design, using botanical pigments and lino printing techniques to express cultural stories through textiles. The workshop aims to encourage cultural expression, preserve traditional knowledge, and celebrate creativity within the Gumbaynggirr, Dunghutti, Biripi, and Worimi Aboriginal communities. 

    The workshop will culminate in participants showcasing their fabric designs alongside their personal stories at The Gallery in late 2025.

    Participants will create individual lino panels using botanical pigments and lino printing techniques. Each panel will reflect a unique expression of personal or cultural narratives. The lino prints may be displayed in our gallery.

    This workshop is available to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders who are from or living in the Nations of Gumbaynggirr, Dunghutti, Biripi/Birpai, Worimi of Saltwater Freshwaters footprint from Corindi in the North to Karuah in the South of NSW.
