  • Late Pick-up for Operating Hours

A late pick-up fee of $5.00 per minute, per child will be implemented if children are collected after operational hours. If the delay extends beyond 10 minutes, a flat fee of $300 per child will be charged. This fee must be settled prior to your child’s next attendance.

We recognize that unexpected situations can arise. Should you foresee a delay, notify us promptly to prevent unnecessary stress on your child. However, if we have attempted to reach all authorized individuals for pick-up without success and do not receive communication from you beyond 30 minutes after our closing hours, we will regrettably have to deem your child abandoned and involve law enforcement. While this is a situation we aim to avoid, late pick-up charges will be applicable in such instances.

Repeated failure to comply with this policy—after three documented occurrences—may result in termination of child care services.

  • Part Time Schedules

Children who are scheduled part-time hours are required to follow a set schedule established between the enrolling family member and an official A to Z Team Member. Part-time students and preschool-only students will be charged an early drop-off or late pick-up fee of $5.00 per minute per child for dropping off or picking up outside the scheduled times.  If the time extends beyond 10 minutes, a flat fee of $300 per child will be charged. This fee must be settled prior to your child’s next attendance.  NO part-time enrolled children can arrive at the center at unscheduled times without prior approval.

We understand that unexpected circumstances may arise, which is why we have a flexible attendance policy. If your child will be absent due to illness or vacation, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance so we can make the necessary arrangements.

  • Kindergarten and School Age Children Schedule Changes and Transportation

If we receive a week's notice for school-age children changes in the normal schedule due to field trips, common days, and early out days, we will not charge additional fees. However, if we DO NOT receive a week's notice, you will be charged a $25 fee per child due to employee schedule changes that could result in overtime hours for us to accommodate a changed employee schedule.

If school-age children are attending between the hours of 9:15 am and 2:00 pm due to pandemics, unexpected school closure dates, emergencies, or disasters, rates from August through May will be adjusted as needed to accommodate for extra labor costs. Due to emergencies, the rate could change mid-invoice.

We provide transportation services exclusively for kindergarten and school-age children to and from local elementary schools. To ride in our vehicles, each child must have a signed permission slip and adhere to all bus rules. Please notify us in advance if your child will not need transportation, as we are committed to offering daily transport services. This agreement remains in effect even on days when your child does not require transportation or is dropped off at school. To avoid a $25 fee per child, reach out to us in the morning or at least 30 minutes before school dismissal.

Fuel Surcharge for Extended School Transportation

A $15 weekly fuel surcharge will be applied per family for transportation to or from a school located more than 5 miles from the center, provided that all children in the family share the same busing schedule.

The following schools currently fall under this policy:

    Harbor Point
    John Hancock
    Eagle Valley

This list is not exhaustive and may include other schools as they are identified. Please contact your center’s office team to confirm whether your child’s school is subject to the surcharge. The office has an up-to-date list of applicable schools.

  • Tuition

Tuition payment plans are available on a weekly or monthly basis, with advance payment required. The tuition fees already include allowances for holidays, closures, and illness-related absences, ensuring a consistent rate per week. Missed days will not be refunded or credited. In the event of immediate service termination due to a facility conflict, no prorated refunds will be provided for days within the week of dismissal.

Tuition is due in advance. All tuition fees are due and payable on the child(ren)’s first program day and every FRIDAY thereafter. Tuition is due upon Arrival, Not Departure. Payments may be made with cash, cashier’s check, credit card, or money order.

  • Tuition Supplemented Accounts

Selected tuition-supplemented accounts are calculated monthly versus a weekly basis, ensuring consistency year-round. (State subsidy) This fee encompasses full-time summer attendance, public school breaks, and summer camp costs when applicable.

If tuition is supplemented by Utah state funding, the credited amount is typically received on the first day of each month, leaving a balance. Clients must pay half of the remaining balance by the first Friday of each month, and the full balance is due by the third Friday. There is a $25 charge weekly for any overdue amount, and full payment is required after two weeks to remain enrolled.

If state or other subsidy funding stops, the account must cover weekly expenses for summer camp, spring break, and other breaks or fees until state funding resumes or until September 1st.

For children starting after May 1st, additional weekly summer camp fees will apply from June to August, on top of the regular monthly tuition.

If subsidy funding is discontinued at any point, accounts will transition to the weekly payment plan. Any extra fees for additional services will be applied as usual for a weekly paid account. Tuition subsidies are calculated weekly until additional funding begins official disbursement. Regardless of whether the subsidized source funds or not, all outstanding tuition is the responsibility of the payer.

  • Automatic Payments

All accounts are set up for autopay. By agreeing to this, I authorize my financial institution to make scheduled payments on my behalf to A to Z Building Blocks from the listed account. I acknowledge that I retain full control over my payments, and if I wish to make alterations or discontinue this service, I will inform A to Z Building Blocks promptly.

Should I choose to opt out of automatic payments, a $25.00 convenience fee will be applied to my account monthly. This charge is intended to offset the extra administrative costs associated with managing your account. In cases where funds are unavailable at the agreed payment time, a $25 late fee for insufficient funds will be incurred, with the penalty escalating weekly until the balance is settled. After a lapse of two weeks without payment, services will be halted. A fee will be incurred regardless of your child's attendance in the following two weeks to account for the notice period.

We are not obligated to notify you if the payment is declined. The late fee will remain, even if you opt to use a different payment method.

If a payment is declined for any reason, you will need to provide card details either over the phone or through myprocare.com. Unfortunately, the payment cannot be automatically rerun due to the procare system's lack of awareness of the initial decline. Please note that it may take some time to detect declined payments.

Autopay is designed for your convenience, and the following rules are in place to maintain affordability for all parties:

Frequent changes in payment methods introduce room for errors and prolong processing times.

    • Changes in payment methods, such as switching between credit cards, are permitted up to three times per calendar year without incurring a fee.
    • Any changes exceeding three times in a calendar year will result in a $25 additional fee per change.
    • Payments made through non-autopay methods will be credited to your account but cannot be used to halt an auto payment.

It is my responsibility to complete the autopay form to opt out of autopay. I authorize A to Z Building Blocks to continue using autopay until the form is submitted. If you choose the opt-out payment option, tuition fees are due on your child(ren)'s first program day and every Friday thereafter. Payment must be made upon arrival, not departure. A $25.00 late fee will be charged if payment is not made by Monday at 8:00 am, with the penalty escalating weekly until the balance is settled.

  • Please follow the link below as it corresponds to the option you selected. You are required to complete the necessary steps by accessing this link.

    Automatic Payment Discontinue Agreement

  • Credit Card Processing Fees

Credit card processing fees of 3% will be added to each invoice when payment is made via credit card. This fee helps cover merchant processing costs and applies to both autopay and manual transactions. To avoid this fee, families may choose to pay using a debit card, cash, a cashier’s check, or a money order. This fee is non-refundable and will appear as a separate line item on your invoice.

  • Tuition Change for Advancing in Age

If your child's birthday falls when a lower tuition rate applies, the rate adjustment will take effect once there is availability for your child to move up to the next age group. The revised rate will be reflected in the invoice for the subsequent month following your child's birthday.

  • Fully Potty Trained

We consider children fully potty trained when they can do the following things independently:

    • Be able to TELL the teacher that they need to go to the bathroom BEFORE they have to go. They must be able to say the words, "I have to go to the potty or bathroom" BEFORE they have to go.

    • Be able to pull down and up their underwear and pants without assistance.

    • Be able to wipe themselves after they have used the bathroom.

    • Be able to wash and dry their hands independently.

    • Be able to go to the bathroom and directly back to the classroom without directions.

    • Be able to postpone going to the bathroom if they must wait for someone who is in the bathroom or if they are outside or on a field trip.

If your child becomes “fully potty trained” and it includes a lower tuition rate due to age, the tuition will not decrease until we have space for your child to move up to the next age group, if they are in a two year old classroom, and or on the next month's invoice after your child's is fully potty trained.

Due to the nature of potty training and the additional assistance it requires, children are not allowed to attend field trips until they are fully potty trained.

To learn more about how we support toilet training, click here to view the Family Way guidelines.

  • Summer Camp, Spring Break, and Fall Break

Families enrolled in our preschool or school-age programs are required to participate in our summer, spring break, and fall break activities. Daily activities—including field trips—are part of the program experience, and all enrolled children are expected to join. We are unable to provide separate supervision for those who opt out.

Please note: Children who are not fully potty trained will not attend off-site field trips. In these cases, the associated fee will help cover the cost of additional staffing required to supervise them on-site.

If a child needs one-on-one care, the parent or guardian must either keep the child at home on off-site days or provide an escort for personalized care. Additional charges will apply for summer camp in June, July, and August, as well as for spring and fall breaks, regardless of attendance at off-site activities. Fees will be evaluated yearly in April and adjusted to reflect any price changes in the community.

Summer camp fees are mandatory, even if your child does not attend for the week, as many locations require upfront payment with no refunds for non-attendance. State-funded accounts cover spring break, fall break, and summer camp costs within the monthly tuition. There will be no additional summer camp fee during the summer if the child has been attending throughout the school year unless there are community fee increases. Refer to the Tuition Supplemented Accounts section for further details.

  • Program Changes *Bouncing

A to Z Building Blocks mandates a two-week written notice for schedule changes for both full-time and part-time students. Switching back and forth from hop in, full-time, part-time is prohibited; enrollment choices are limited to full-time or part-time. Changes to weekly tuition rates cannot be accommodated within a week.

A written notice of two weeks is mandatory for withdrawal for any reason. Families will incur charges for this period. If the notice is given within the week, the two weeks start from the following full week (Monday to Friday). Failure to provide adequate notice by an authorized family member will result in charges for two weeks, regardless of whether the child(ren) attends A to Z Building Blocks for care.

Transitioning between hop in, part-time, and full-time programs necessitates pre-approval and may be subject to availability for implementation.

If a child is moving from part-time or full-time to hop-in services and wants to return to their original schedule, a new registration fee will apply (refer to the registration and supply fee for details). This fee must be paid before any service adjustments can be made.

Written notice must be given through the following form.

Complete the form using the following link: Notice for Leaving Services

  • Preschool Only

This section is for children who only attend Tuesday through Thursday from 8:45 am to 12:30 pm and are 3-5 years old and fully potty trained. (September through May) The schedule follows the local school district schedule.

One month's written notice is required for withdrawal, for any reason, and the account will be charged for that period. If an authorized family member fails to give adequate notice, the account will be charged for the month whether or not the child(ren) is brought to A to Z Building Blocks for preschool.

Written notice must be given through the following form.

Complete the form using the following link: Notice for Leaving Services

  • Financial Responsibility

The parent or guardian signing this form is financially responsible for settling the invoice. If both parents share this responsibility, each must complete their own provider and family agreement. For separate invoices with a secondary payer, the multiplayer form is required. The secondary payer acknowledges not being the primary account holder and that the invoice won't be itemized. If a copy of the itemized invoice is needed, the secondary payer should request it from the main account holder.

Access the multiplayer form at: Multi-Payer Form

  • Security and Sign-In and Out Policy

For the safety of everyone, it is critical to use your secured access to enter our building and do not share your code with anyone. Anyone who does not have a code is required to ring the doorbell and an authorized person will grant access. Do not open the door or allow others who are not in your party to enter the building behind you.

When dropping off and picking up your child(ren), you are required to sign in and out on the kiosk. This is a state law. If signing in and out becomes an issue your account will be charged $5.00 per missed sign in or out. Failure to sign in and out may result in termination from the program.

Notify us if your child will arrive later than their scheduled time or will not be attending for the day. We use this information to plan for meals, activities, and team member schedules. *we gather our lunch counts by 9:00 am.

  • Feeding and Nap Schedule

Infants sleep and are fed on demand or per the schedule provided by families. Older toddlers eat breakfast, snacks, and lunch together depending on their arrival time.

The nap times for toddlers, twos, and preschoolers are approximately between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm. We allow a child to sleep until they wake up for up to three hours or until 3:30 pm unless otherwise directed by the family.

  • Health & Nutrition Policy

Prevention of illness and maintaining the good health of all enrolled children is the primary goal of A to Z Building Blocks. If your child cannot comfortably participate in the center’s activities or compromises the health of the other children, you will be notified. A child with a serious illness requiring an absence from child care for more than four days must be accompanied by a doctor’s note upon their return.

You will be notified if your child has a fever that is 100.3, throws up, or has symptoms of a contagious illness. Families have one hour from the time of notification to pick up their child. If the child is not picked up within one hour, you will be charged $5.00 per minute for your child to have one-on-one care.

You must keep your child home for at least 24 hours symptom-free without using medications.  Please notify the facility if your child has a contagious illness so that we can inform other families of the possible exposure.

  • Medications

A to Z Building Blocks will administer medication only if the medication is in the original container and the prescription is attached if applicable. (This includes inhalers and EpiPens) This is a state regulation and no exceptions will be given. A medication release form must be completed before the medication is administered. We will administer medication that is kept at the center only if the authorized family member can be contacted during the day to give verbal authorization and sign at the time of pick up. When bringing liquid medication, please supply a medication dropper or an appropriate measuring spoon.

  • Allergies, Special Diets and Outside Food

Due to allergies, no outside food is allowed to be brought into our facility unless prior approval has been given. Birthday treats must be store-bought, in the original packaging, and pre-approved by an official A to Z Team Member. No nuts and peanut butter are allowed for any reason. If a child has a special diet, please see an official A to Z Team Member for further guidance.

  • Behavior Expectations and Big Emotions

Children are cared for in group settings, where we consistently meet or exceed state-required staff-to-child ratios. Individual one-on-one care is not part of our program structure.

If a child requires one-on-one supervision for more than 20 consecutive minutes due to behavioral or personal care needs, families will be contacted for immediate pickup. If a child is not picked up within 30 minutes of notification, a late pickup fee of $5.00 per minute will be charged.

After five instances of one-on-one care, a family meeting will be scheduled to determine next steps. At that point, our special needs tuition rate will be applied to ensure appropriate support and staffing.

Refer to the behavior expectations found at this link for more information. Behavior Expectations
