About Casita Monte. Casita Monte is an Early Child learning program for ages 0-3, sponsored by Hernandez Educational Services, LLC and VECINA Appalachia, Inc. First launched in 2024 as an unlicensed recreational program house, Casita Monte has since been restructured to better fit within existing state requirements for Early Childhood programming.

The Casita commitment is to strengthen the child's self-belief, independence, and pass on the values of community care in our youngest community members. Our engaged and emergent curriculum is delivered in Spanish and English with introduction to other world and native languages, as determined by student interests and family needs. Casita Monte believes in making space for all who live and work in Watauga county to feel a sense of belonging here. Casita Monte staff is vetted, vaccinated, trained and undergoes a background check.
