Are you interested in having a new tree planted? The City of Lynn is excited to be building an urban forestry program. Check out our website at www.lynnincommon.com/urban-forestry to learn more.
After you fill out this new tree request form, we will:
- add the address requested to our Lynn Tree Planting List and map,
- assess the location for suitability of tree planting and program eligibility, and
- if the location is suitable for planting, we will DigSafe the site, select species, and plan to plant in the next possible Spring or Fall planting season.
Please note that the ultimate decision of if, which, and when tree(s) can be planted on public property will be made by the City of Lynn based on the "Right Tree, Right Place" concept, as well as factors including but not limited to: pest and disease resistance, nursery stock availability and quality, planting area availability and quality, seasonal planting capacity, biodiversity, above and belowground conflict, and climate resilience.
