    About MOMENTUM:
    MOMENTUM is a dynamic exhibition shining a spotlight on the innovative talent of young artists. The exhibition illuminates the creativity of visual artists ages 30 and under from across Oklahoma, providing a captivating glimpse into the state’s vibrant and diverse art scene while providing mentorship and skill-building.

    • About this Shift:

      • Assist with gallery wall set up.
      • Help organize event layout & lighting.
      • If you have extra tools and/or a ladder, feel free to bring them!
      • Skilled laborers will be on site for heavy lifting and construction needs.

      Must be able to team lift and carry 50 lbs. and stand for longer periods of time.

      Water and snacks will be provided.

    • Event Set-Up 

    • About this Shift:

      • Help organize event layout & lighting.
      • Assist with event decorating.
      • Assist OVAC team as needed.
      • If you have extra tools and/or a ladder, feel free to bring them!
      • Skilled laborers will be on site for heavy lifting and construction needs.

      When: April 2–4, 2025

      Must be able to team lift and carry 50 lbs. and stand for longer periods of time.

    • Artwork Installation 

    • About this Shift:

      • Experience with installing artwork is required to sign up for this shift.
      • Help organize wall lighting.
      • Assist with artwork installation and set up.
      • Assist OVAC team as needed.
      • If you have an extra drill and/or a ladder, feel free to bring them!
      • Skilled laborers will be on site for heavy lifting and construction needs.

    • Will Call Table 

    • About this Shift:

      • Check in and direct incoming MOMENTUM Volunteers
      • Check in and direct incoming MOMENTUM Artists
      • Check in will call guests and give wrist bands
      • Be a hub for informational questions about the event
      • Pre-Event training on the OVAC Ticketing Sales Platform, Auctria, is required.

      Activity Level:
      You can expect to be mainly seated for your entire shift. You may be asked to escort volunteers to their appropriate posts.

    • Art Ambassadors 

    • About this Shift:

      • Assist guests with participating in purchasing art.
      • Answer questions about the art and artists
      • Roam the gallery space to moniter safety of artwork.
      • Serve as a liasion between connecting interested buyers and artists at the event.
      • Volunteers should familiarize themselves with the MOMENTUM artists and their work prior to the event.

      A moderate amount of walking and standing through the event space is required.

    • Pre-Event Training Required
      This volunteer shift requires pre-event trainings on OVAC's ticketing platform, Auctria.     • Silent Auction Attendant 

    • About this Shift:

      • Encourage Silent Auction & Wish Wall sales.
      • Assist guests in participating in the Silent Auction.
      • Assist guests in participating in purchasing donations from OVAC's Wish Wall.
      • Pre-Event training on the OVAC Art Sales Platform, Auctria, is required.
      • Serve as a MOMENTUM tote bag pick up location

    • Art Activity Attendant 

    • About this Shift:

      • Assist with zine-making management and cleanup.
      • Activity developed by Meg Nance Coker with the Metropolitan Library System.

      When: April 4–5, 2025

      Activity Level:
      A moderate amount of walking could be possible, but mostly sitting.

    • Photographer 

    • About this Shift:

      • Photograph event attendees in casual and posed settings using provided image list.
      • OVAC can provide up to two (2) cameras during a volunteer shift. Having your own camera is great too!
      • Artists will upload content to shared Google Drive following event.
      • All photographs will be credited when OVAC uses the subsequent photography collected during the event.

    • Videographer 

    • About this Shift:

      • Film event festivities and attendees in casual and posed settings using provided image list.
      • OVAC can provide up to two (2) cameras during a volunteer shift. Having your own camera is great too!
      • Artists will upload content to shared Google Drive following event.
      • All photographs will be credited when OVAC uses the subsequent footage collected during the event.

      • Assist OVAC Staff and vendors with post-event clean up and break down.

      A moderate amount of walking through the event space and light cleaning labor is required.

      Water and snacks will be provided.

    • Wall De-Install 

    • About this Shift:

      • Assist with gallery wall tear down.
      • Help remove lighting, artwork and patching hole and blemishes in the gallery walls.
      • If you have extra tools and/or a ladder, feel free to bring them!
      • Skilled laborers will be on site for heavy lifting and construction needs.

      When: April 6, 2025

    • Art Pick-Up & Clean Up 

    • About this Shift:

      • Assist artists with picking up their unpurchased artwork(s).
      • Confirm purchase and assist artwork buyers in getting them their purchased artwork(s).
      • Pre-Event training on the OVAC Art Sales Platform, Auctria, is required.
