Contest Rules:
By entering the Sea Theme Costume Competition @ Crabfest 2026, participants and their parents/guardians agree to the following terms:
1. Eligibility:
- The contest is open to children aged 0 to 14 years inclusive.
- All participants must be registered before the contest starts.
2. Parental/Guardian Consent:
- A parent or legal guardian must accompany each child and provide consent for participation.
- By registering, parents/guardians agree to all contest rules and conditions.
3. Costumes:
- Costumes must be Sea Themed, family-friendly and appropriate for all audiences.
- Offensive, dangerous, or inappropriate costumes may result in disqualification.
4. Judging & Prizes:

Prizes are as follows:
1st - $300
2nd - $200
3rd - $100
4th to 10th - Loot Bags
- The contest will be judged based on creativity, effort, presentation and audience impact.
- The judges’ decisions are final, and no disputes will be entertained.
- Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
5. Photography & Media Release:
- By participating, parents/guardians give permission for event organizers to take photos and videos of their child during the contest.
- These images may be used in promotional materials, social media, and event-related publications without further consent or compensation.
- If a parent/guardian does not wish for their child’s photo to be used, they must notify event organizers in writing before the contest begins.
6. Liability & Safety:
- Participants take part at their own risk. The event organizers are not responsible for any injuries, lost items, or damages.
- Parents/guardians must supervise their children at all times.
7. Code of Conduct:
- All participants and spectators must behave respectfully towards others.
- Any inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the event.
8. Entry Dates & Times
- Online entries close Thursday 12th March 2025
- On the Day entries open Saturday 14th March @ 11.30am and close promptly @ 12.30pm. Located at the Stage in The Smart St Mall Mandurah
- All Entrants must check in at the stage desk between 12.30 am and 12.50pm to recieve their entrant number and assemble for their stage walk infront of the judges
