About Scam Jam

American consumers lose billions of dollars to frauds and scams each year. Studies show the hardest hit are often age 55 and over. To help prevent these losses, Sen. Singleton, Asw. Murphy, Asw. Katz and Asm. Singh, have teamed up with AARP NJ and the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs to bring Seniors resources to raise awareness and prevent scams.

This educational and entertaining event will offer practical advice about scams and schemes, including:
- insurance and investment fraud
- online and door-to-door scams
- identity theft
- other scams targeting older consumers
- Resource Tables
Scam Jam is free, light breakfast is included but seating is limited.
