Please read the following guidelines carefully and ensure that all documents are included. Incomplete or out-of-state applications will be automatically disqualified. High school students are ineligible for the Women in Conservation scholarship at this time.
ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION
Restricted to female students pursuing a graduate or undergraduate degree in range science, forestry, biology, botany, earth science, wildlife management, or a related field, with plans to pursue a career in conservation. (Note: Incoming Freshmen are not eligible for this scholarship).
Current full-time student at an accredited college or university in Texas
Undergraduate students: must have completed a minimum of 60 semester hours of study by the application deadline of 6/10/2024.
Current cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Preference will be given to students who hold part-time jobs while attending school; please submit proof of employment with your application (see below)

Please use the following naming convention for each PDF file you submit below (for example: Smith_LetterofRec.PDF).
PERSONAL STATEMENT
Your Personal Statement should include a header with your name and the date. In 1,000 words or less, please tell us about your interest in conservation science, your career goals, and how you hope to make an impact on the conservation of the wild things and wild places of Texas.
LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION
Your letter of recommendation should be on an official letterhead and specific to this scholarship, dated, signed, and include the telephone and email address of the person providing the recommendation. Please do not include personal references.
TRANSCRIPTS
Unofficial College/University transcript (from all schools attended). You as the applicant are responsible for obtaining your transcripts and submitting them with the application.
Note: If you are selected as a finalist, you will be required to submit an official transcript prior to the award being made.
