We are excited by your interest in the 2025 Equity-Embedded Change Management (EECM)™ Cohort led by Sheryl Petty, Ed.D., CEO & Founder of Movement Tapestries, based on core concepts presented in her publication A Change Management & Deep Equity Primer: The What, Why, How & Nuance, and supported by Grantmakers for Effective Organizations (GEO).
We invite you to complete this application if you:
- Are a seasoned equity practitioner;
- Operate within and/or outside of grantmaking institutions - this opportunity is open to the GEO community (both members and nonmembers), independent consultants and individuals;
- Are responsible for leading or are a key influencer of systems change within your organizations, communities, with clients, and/or in other spaces you practice in;
- Have baseline organizational development and/or change management understanding and experience;
- Have awareness of both personal and systems stuck areas;
- Have readiness for or already incorporate energetic and other dimensions of inner work as part of your systems practice;
- Desire to expand your network of deep equity and systems change capacity builders.
*Those who participated in the 2024 EECM™ Cohort will need to describe a specific project or body of work they would use the 2025 Cohort experience to help advance.
Please note that the EECM™ Cohort is designed for one participant from each organization/consultancy/group, but we are open to having up to three participants from one entity if all fit the criteria above and work together closely on equity and change management efforts.
Applicants must be able to commit to the following:
Participation in six sessions:
- The opening session will be held over three days from Monday, May 19 to Wednesday, May 21 in Washington, DC
- Monday, May 19th, 1-5pm ET (required for new Cohort participants, optional for those who participated in the 2024 Cohort).
- Tuesday, May 20th, 9:30am-5pm ET (optional breakfast at 8:30am ET, lunch onsite), plus a Cohort dinner afterward.
- Wednesday, May 21st, 9:30am-4:30pm ET (optional breakfast at 8:30am ET, lunch onsite).
- Second, third, fourth and fifth sessions will be 3-hour virtual sessions from 1pm - 4pm ET on:
- Wednesday, June 11
- Tuesday, July 1
- Wednesday, September 17
- Wednesday, October 15
- An in-person closing session will be held over two days from Wednesday, November 5 to Thursday, November 6 (location to be confirmed)
- Wednesday, November 5th, 9:30am-5pm (optional breakfast at 8:30am, lunch onsite), plus a Cohort dinner afterward.
- Thursday, November 6th, 9:30am-4:30pm (optional breakfast at 8:30am, lunch onsite).
Two individualzed coaching sessions with Sheryl Petty between the opening (May 19, 2025) and closing (November 5, 2025) sessions:
- You and Sheryl will determine the virtual times and dates of these two, 60-minute coaching sessions. There will be a coaching link provided for you to schedule your times.
Full participation in activities between sessions, including:
- Learning Partner work:
- Upon acceptance to the program, participants will be designated a fellow Cohort participant as a Learning Partner.
- You will schedule and meet virtually several times during the Cohort period.
- Participants will receive suggested guidelines to support how you structure these meetings, including frequency.
- Cohort session prework and postwork with reflection prompts:
- Assigned readings from Dr. Sheryl Petty's A Change Management & Deep Equity Primer: The What, Why, How & Nuance, and potentially other publications;
- Listening to select podcasts from The Spiritual & Energetic Dimensions of Equity-Embedded Systems Change (SED-EESC)™
- Preparation of a final capstone, the focus of which you will identify during the Cohort and refine with support from your coaching sessions and Learning Partner.
Program fee:
- For applicants that are from organizations that are GEO members: $4,000
- For applicants from organizations that are non-members: $5,000
- For applicants applying as individuals or independent consultants: $2,000
