BYO Device Day

Dear Parents/Carers,

Our vacation care program has a 'BYO Device' day scheduled for 10 April 2025. 

Please note that we follow legislation and policy around device use at the service. More information can be found at eSafety.gov.au. A copy of the Technology Policy and Risk Assissment is also available should you wish to view it at the service.

Please complete the below form, providing permission for your child to bring a device to the service on the nominated day in the program.

By completing and signing this form, you agree to the following:

1. I understand that Wishart Outside School Hours Care (WOSHC) and the Wishart State School P&C Association are not responsible for any loss or damage to the device nominated in this form.
2. The device and case have been marked with my child's name.
3. I can confirm that the device is our family device, and will not be shared by another child 
4. I understand that the device is not to be shared with other children, except in the instances of siblings using the same device
5. I will ensure that the device is fully charged before bringing it to Vacation Care and it is not the responsibility of WOSHC to charge this device during the day.
6. I understand that my child will not be permitted to access the internet
7. I can confirm that the apps and programs on the device are age-appropriate (G & PG rated) and non-violent in content 
8. I understand that my child will only be able to use the device during the allocated activity time.
9. I understand that my child may have their device removed by an Educator for inappropriate use and/or content
10. If a device permission form has not been completed, then it will be my responsibility to take the device home, and my child will not have the device during the activity
