Understanding Our Fleet Options
At Purple Cars, we cater to all your driving needs with four distinct fleets:

• Runabouts: Our most economical option. These reliable, older vehicles (2008-2010) are perfect for everyday errands like school runs and grocery shopping – simple, practical, and get the job done.

• Budget Fleet: Offering excellent value, our budget fleet features popular, well-maintained models like the Ford Fiesta, typically (2010-2015). Ideal for those seeking a cost-effective and dependable ride.

• Premium Fleet: Experience the latest in comfort and technology with our premium fleet. These newer vehicles (2016-2022) often include features like satellite navigation and Bluetooth connectivity, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable journey.

• Automatics: Unless otherwise specified, all our vehicles are MANUAL transmission. When booking, you can select your preferred transmission; however, please note that automatic vehicles are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed unless you are legally required to have one due to a disability or driving license restriction. Automatic vehicles are exclusively available within our Budget and Premium fleets only (subject to a 25% surcharge on standard rates).

Rental Extras, Deposits & Requirements

All car rentals require a refundable damage deposit, which acts as your insurance excess for at-fault claims, and mandatory 24/7 breakdown assistance through Purple Cars Assist at €24.95 per month; additionally, optional extra coverage is available to protect against damages or liabilities not covered by the standard rental agreement.
Refundable Damage Deposit

We require a refundable damage deposit to protect against potential damage during your rental. This deposit is like an insurance excess and avoids the need for extra insurance costs for minor incidents.

• Runabouts: €350
• Budget Cars: €500
• Premium Cars: €750
• Automatics: €500 / €750

The deposit is fully refunded if the vehicle is returned in the same condition as rented, minus normal wear and tear. Refunds are processed within 14 working days.
Additional Insurance Options:

Extra Cover (€1.25 per day) - This covers tyre punctures and blowouts, glass damage, air conditioning repairs (summer months), alloy wheel damage, and loss of hubcaps.
