  • About the Show

The 2025 Student Showcase is an opportunity for Santa Fe Workshops to honor the exceptional work created by its students over the past 35 years. This exhibition will highlight the photographic and visual arts excellence of those who have studied with us in Santa Fe, and we are proud to celebrate and share their work with the wider community.

    Curation

Santa Fe Workshops has commissioned Curate to act as juror and curator for the Student Showcase. Curate is an independent curatorial service known for uplifting and supporting artists in the Santa Fe community. Curate has partnered with numerous galleries and alternative spaces in Santa Fe for the past 10 years to develop shows and provide programming, educational opportunities, and professional development to artists.

For more information on Curate, please visit their website at:

    Group Exhibition

The final 2025 Student Showcase will be a group exhibition of 20 selected artists, whose work will be shown from June 25-August 15, 2025 at the Iconik Coffee Roasters Lupe location, adjacent to the world-famous Santa Fe Plaza and Railyard Arts District. A digital show of the work will be hosted on the Santa Fe Workshops website for the same duration.

    Eligibility

Any photographer or artist who has participated in an in-person workshop in Santa Fe is eligible to submit work created during that class. All formats are welcome, including prints of digital work, darkroom or alternative process prints, encaustic pieces, gold leaf, collage, mixed media, etc. For digital photographs, please note that while the image file itself needs to have been created on-site during the workshop, we will accept prints created at home or printed by an external party. There is no cost to submit work for this show.

Please note that work created during workshops held outside of Santa Fe, including our international programs, our Pop-Up series, or as part of our online programming, will not be eligible for participation in this show.

    Timeline and Important Dates

Application for submission will be open from Friday, March 21st through Monday, May 5th. A total of 20 artists will be selected for participation in the show. All applicants will be notified of acceptance status by Monday, May 12th.

    Opening

Our opening reception will be hosted on the evening of Wednesday, June 25th, 2025. This event will be free and open to the public. We invite all members of the Santa Fe Workshops community, including instructors, staff, and students, to attend this photographic celebration.

    Pricing and Payment

All pieces will be priced at $350.00 and sold through Iconik Coffee Roasters. Artists will receive 50% of profits from sales, with the remaining 50% being distributed between the venue and curator. All works of art, including pieces that sell, will remain exhibited through the end of the show on August 15th. For artists who make sales, payment will be facilitated directly from Iconik Coffee Roasters in September, 2025.

  • Shipping

All works of selected art must be shipped or dropped off to Santa Fe Workshops no later than Monday, June 9th. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the artist. Sold work will be shipped or delivered by Curate to the collector after completion of the exhibition. Unsold work will be shipped back to the artist by Santa Fe Workshops in the original box it was received in at the expense of the artist.

Pieces must arrive ready to hang on an STAS hanging wire system (framed as desired, wire, d-rings, etc.). Pieces that arrive not ready to hang will be sent back to the artist.
