    (Proverbs 16:32)

    (James 1:20)

  • 11. Question: Name things that should not be done as Christians.

    Answer

  • 12. Question: How should we receive the engrafted Word, and what is it able to do?

    (James 1:21)

  • Grafting is the process by which one portion of a plant is made to unite with another plant. An incision is made into the original plant and a branch is inserted. These two are bound together with a cord, and they grow and become one.

It is the same with receiving the Word and letting it be engrafted into our soul. As it grows and becomes one with us, our souls shall begin to be transformed.

  • 13. Question: As a Christian, what are we exhorted to do?

    (James 1:26)

  • 14. Question: What then are we exhorted to be?

    (James 1:22)

  • 15. Question: What is a hearer and not a doer of the Word likened to?

    (James 1:23-24)

  • 16. Question: How do we partake of the divine nature?

    (2 Peter 1:4)

  • 17. Question: List some spiritual qualities. If a person lacks these qualities, what has he done?

    (2 Peter 1:9)

    Answer

  • We are exhorted throughout the Epistles to put on the new creation or new nature. When we come to the Lord, all we know is what we used to be, bound under Satan's power.

Many Christians continue to believe, even after salvation, that they are still like they used to be. They are men who look into the mirror of the Word, then go away and forget what they are as a new creation.

    18. Question: What is one spiritual quality, you need not to forget?

    (James 1:24)

  • Memory Verse:

  • James 4:6 "But he gives more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resists the proud, but gives grace unto the humble."  [End of Quote]
