Important Information Before You Begin

THE 2026 SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNTS WILL BE THREE $1,000.00 & TWO $500.00 AWARDS

IT IS HIGHLY SUGGESTED THAT YOU OBTAIN ALL NECCESSARY UPLOADS PRIOR TO SUBMISSION

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION IS APRIL 30, 2026 BY 11:45 PM

You Will Need to Upload:

1. Proof of your acceptance/committment to an accredited college or university

2. Official High School Transcript (minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale)

3. Two letters of recommendation:

▪ One from a faculty member at your high school

▪ One from a community member (e.g., coach, church member, or professional organization representative; no family members)

Final Selection Process:

The Fairfax NAACP Education Committee will select winners based on a combined evaluation of the essay question, letters of recommendation, and GPA.

Completed applications must be submitted by APRIL 30, 2026 by 11:45 PM.
