PLEASE READ IMPORTANT POLICY ITEMS BELOW:
Classes:
Attendance is recommended twice a week but not mandatory.
Class signups are made available during the enrollment process.
There are no make-up classes.
In-person classes are available: Mondays and Thursdays from 3p to 7p
If a student is unable to attend class, assignments are available for pickup in case the student is not enrolled in Kumon Connect.
Gum, food, or drinks are not allowed in the classroom.
Subject Change:
Students will not be able to switch from one subject to another unless Kumon study is two years or above grade level in the current subject enrolled.
Absence Policy:
Although it is not recommended, students are allowed to be absent for one full month* during the calendar year. A 30-day advanced written notice must be sent to kumonfp@gmail.com. No tuition applies.
No partial month absence credit is given.
*Maximum of one-month absence in a calendar year to avoid re-registration fee.
Withdrawal:
To terminate Kumon services, a written notice must be submitted 30 days in advance to kumonfp@gmail.com to avoid tuition and additional charges.
We do not issue refunds or transfer funds.
Re-enrollment:
If a discontinued student wishes to re-enroll, the registration and material fees, and the tuition rate at the time of re-enrollment will apply. A student assessment will also need to be scheduled by sending a text message to 754-777-8091 or an email to kumonfp@gmail.com
Tuition Policies:
- Kumon of Fort Lauderdale reserves the right to adjust tuition at any time. In that event, parents will be informed in advance.
- The deposit will apply to the student's last month in Kumon, as long as the student stays enrolled for a minimum of 12 months. Kumon Fort Lauderdale does not issue refunds or transfer funds. The Deposit will be used as tuition for the student's last month at Kumon.
- The Deposit will be forfeited if the student discontinues Kumon before the 12th month of enrollment.
Book Policy:
In conjunction with the worksheets, reading books is a very important part of the reading program.
Students need to be reading books on an ongoing basis to reinforce vocabulary and comprehension.
Early Learner students will bring a book home every time they come to class so parents can read to them. (Books with light green tape on the spine can be read by the student.
If a book is lost by the student, it will need to be replaced by a book of the same title or a $20 fee will be charged.
