Donald A. Adams Outstanding Rotarian Award

Background:
Donald A. Adams was a past District Governor (1922-23) from the New Haven Rotary Club. He became the 15th President of Rotary International in 1925-26. In 1975, the District established this award in his honor to recognize one outstanding Rotarian from a club in our District who is not a Past District Governor and who exemplifies exceptional contributions across the Five Avenues of Rotary Service.
Rotary clubs serve communities worldwide, addressing unique concerns and needs. Rotarians continuously adapt and enhance their approach to service, engaging in a broad range of impactful projects. The most successful and sustainable Rotary service initiatives align with one or more of the following seven Areas of Focus:
- Peace and conflict prevention/resolution
- Disease prevention and treatment
- Water, sanitation, and hygiene
- Maternal and child health
- Basic education and literacy
- Community economic development
- Environmental sustainability

Selection:
Consideration is given to the candidate’s outstanding service to their club and the District. Each club in the District may nominate one candidate by submitting this form to the selection committee no later than April 1st. Submit By Email: kevin.reich2020@gmail.com
The recipient is selected by a committee composed of the five most recent awardees, who can serve, with the most senior recipient serving as Chair. The award will be presented at the District Conference or Year-End Recognition event.
