The Over the Fence project will look at climate-smart options for agriculture and extends on the concept that great ideas and practice change often result from the conversations that occur between farmers ‘over the fence’ and when farmers get the opportunity to look beyond their farm gate.
The project will run during 2025 and 2026 and will provide farmers with opportunities to gain practical advice from leading farmers and experts to fine tune their systems and connect with other farmers who are adopting new farming methods.
Six local field days will be held and two bus trips further afield will run to provide inspiration and the chance to discuss farming practices on a casual basis.
Six visual stories featuring local farmers will also be created to cater for the increasing number of farmers who gain their information online.
This survey has been created to obtain ideas on what you, as farmers, would like us to cover as part of the project. When answering the questions, please remember that this survey relates to improving the sustainability, productivity and profitability of agriculture.
This project, is supported by the Australian Government through funding from the Climate-Smart Agriculture Program under the Natural Heritage Trust.
