  • High School Summer Camp @ USMSM Registration Form

  • The A. James Clark School of Engineering of the University of Maryland at College Park, with financial support from SoMD 2030, is hosting a free summer camp program at the University System of Maryland at Southern Maryland (USMSM).

    Registration is open for two diferent camps:

    The APP-AI summer camp is for high-school students with demonstrated background in coding and a strong interest in the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in machine learning, computer vision, image generation/recognition, and robotics. 

    The STEM summer camp for future problem solvers is open to high-school students who are interested in the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) fields of study.  It will provide a venue for students to learn mechanical design, electronics, and coding. It will teach engineering and math skills, as well as collaboration and teamwork, and will aim at developing these diverse skills to solve problems and encourage innovation.

    Please note: The camps are open to students who attend high schools in the Tri-County only (Calvert, Charles, St. Mary's counties).

    When:

    APP-AI Summer camp: July 14 – August 1, 2025, M-F 9am - 3pm

    STEM summer camp for future problem solvers: July 21 - August 1, 2025, M-F 9am - 3pm

I further certify the he/she is in good health and is capable of fully participating in all activities, that persons who use the facilities of the University System of Maryland at Southern Maryland (USMSM) do so at their own risk, and that the employees and agencies of USMSM and University of Maryland are not responsible for the loss of personal property, injury, or loss of life.

I understand that conscientious effort will be made to notify the parents/guardians prior to such action.
