The Distinguished Volunteer Fundraiser Award is a non-competitive category that offers an excellent opportunity to recognize the superlative efforts of a volunteer or organization who contributes time and effort to your charitable organization’s fundraising success and who has a demonstrated commitment to AFP's values of inclusion, diversity, equity, and access (IDEA).
Individuals, couples, families, auxiliary groups, supporting organizations, and volunteer committees are eligible for this award, as are individual volunteers, families, and couples.
Example criteria include but are not limited to:
- Evidence of leadership skills in coordinating and motivating groups of volunteers for a major fundraising project or campaign(s) for the benefit of a charitable organization, and/or
- Demonstrated time, effort, and financial commitment to a charitable organization, and/or
- Emerging leaders who demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to creating better communities, and
- Demonstrated commitment to the values of inclusion, diversity, equity, and access (IDEA)
