This is an experiential training, which means participants engage directly with the material somatically and relationally. This will very likely raise feelings of grief, shame, anger, fear, and other challenging emotions. It is important to us that you're in a space and time where you can safely and effectively be challenged and sit with discomfort. What is included in your current support system/ circle of care?
*
Where are you on your journey with your own trauma healing? What's been your relationship to healing thus far? (feel free to share as much or as little as you're comfortable with, we are not asking for a detailed trauma history.)

I understand
This is a foundation training, meaning it is designed to offer an introduction to the practice of EAI. This training alone is not sufficient to build the experience and competencies necessary to become a trauma practitioner, ancestral healing guide, or anti-racism facilitator. It is designed to complement your existing scope of practice, and lead you through your own process of healing and reflection.
*
I understand
This is not a therapy group, but we will be exploring material that touches on personal and collective trauma as part of learning the framework and methodology of EAI. Participants are encouraged to bring unresolved feelings that arise in the course to their personal healing work and to have your own support systems in place and access them if/ when needed.
*
I understand
Marika Heinrichs and Stevie Joy Guiol are somatic practitioners and embodiment guides. As the facilitators of this course, they not entering into a therapeutic relationship with participants. The teaching team serves as facilitators, teachers, and at times learning peers.
*
I understand that participation in this group does not make Marika or Stevie my therapist and that my participation in this group does not constitute a therapeutic relationship
