About the Courtney D. Pringle Scholarship: 

The Courtney D. Pringle Essay & Oratorical Scholarship is awarded to high school seniors who demonstrate a commitment to academic excellence and community service. This scholarship recognizes students who excel in both written and oral communication, and who possess the leadership qualities and potential to make a positive impact on the world.

Submission Guidelines

• All applications must be submitted electronically through this online form by April 15, 2025. 
• Late applications will not be considered 
• Incomplete applications will not be considered
• Submit a 3 Minute video 
• The finalist must be available for a luncheon presentation on May 14, 2025

• Examine how music functions as a vital element in storytelling across various art forms, including film, dance, theater, and literature.
  
  
• Discuss how music not only reflects societal values but also actively shapes them, influencing cultural narratives and driving social progress.
  
  
• Analyze how music has been used as a powerful tool for social and political activism, challenging injustice and inspiring movements for change. 

Video Submission

• The oratory should be a concise and impactful presentation of your key ideas and aspirations. 
• The video should be 3-5 minutes in length.
