    The Southeast Wyoming Builders Association Scholarship Trust, LLC requires transcripts* to be submitted with the application.  *Renewal scholarships will require an updated transcript. Grades are not the only criteria for awarding scholarships but are a portion of the overall consideration of your application. Deadline for application is March 15th, 2025 APPLICATION AND SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS MUST BE TYPED. Incomplete Applications will not be considered. Type your name and give the item number of each addition.

    1.     Describe family members’ involvement and/or personal involvement with the building industry. 2.     If you are a Post High School Graduate or have a G.E.D. please provide a letter of recommendation from a civic leader, volunteer coordinator, or employer indicating your experiences and accomplishments. If you are a current High School Student, on school letterhead, have a teacher or administrator of your choice write a brief letter of reference for you. Please indicate the teacher’s name and the subject that he/she teaches. 3.     Provide a typewritten essay (500 word maximum) on why you want to pursue the course of study that you have chosen and how it would relate to the building industry. 4.      If you are nota current High School Senior and are attending College for the first time, please attach a resume.  5.      Provide details on any Extra-Curricular Activities (i.e. Athletics, music, drama, yearbook, student council etc..), Elected Positions, Honor Societies, Special Awards and Participation in Community Activities. 6.     Comments:  Please convey any additional information or circumstances you think are pertinent to this application.

  • ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

    An applicant must:  Be a legal resident of Laramie County  Be a current senior student at a Laramie County High School; or be a graduate of a High School; or have a G.E.D.  Have a cumulative high school grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or better on a 4.0 scale, as evidenced by an official transcript from the applicant’s high school.  Course of study must directly relate to the Building and Construction Industry for nonmembers (i.e. Engineering, Architecture, Surveying, Construction Technology, Business, Accounting, Finance and Landscaping)  Have significantly contributed to his or her school or community by way of involvement in extra-curricular activities, including, but not limited to: service clubs or organizations, honor societies, choir, orchestra, band, athletics, speech or debate teams, fine or performing arts, Scouts, FFA, and 4-H.
  • SELECTION:

    The recipient will be selected from applications submitted to the SEWBA Scholarship Trust, LLC and will be at the sole discretion of the SEWBA Scholarship Trust, LLC Committee.  Selection will be made in April of each year, with formal announcement made in May.
  • NUMBER AND AMOUNT OF SCHOLARSHIPS:

    The number and amount of scholarships will be determined yearly based on the amount of funds available. Presently, each SEWBA Scholarship will be $1,500 made in 2 equal installments during the college academic year. The SEWBA Scholarship Trust, LLC may be renewed for a total of four consecutive years, but must not exceed the length of Students Course of Study.  To renew your scholarship each year, cumulative GPA (either as official transcript or screenshot of recorded grades) must be submitted to the SEWBA Scholarship Trust, LLC no later than June 1st. The SEWBA Scholarship Trust, LLC will disburse the proceeds of the scholarship to the student and college at the beginning of each academic term.  Scholarship recipients must notify SEWBA of any change of address.  Failure to do so will result in termination of the scholarship.
