  • Volunteer-Led Day Camp Waterfront & Activity Request Form

    Complete this form to request use of activity areas and equipment, as well as camp staff if necessary at a Girl Scouts River Valleys camp at least four weeks before your volunteer-led day camp begins. Girl Scouts River Valleys will confirm availability and pricing for your request three weeks before your day camp.
  • Girl Scouts River Valleys camps have several program opportunities available for volunteer-led day camps during the summer. Camp staff can be provided to ensure safety and facilitate the program. Schedules can be flexible based on the number of campers and the time available for each day camp.

    Camp staff are available to lead the activities in the list below:

    Please Note: Availability of camp staff to lead activities will be confirmed by the camp director 2-3 weeks before the day camp dates.

    • Low Ropes, Archery, GPS and Camp Store, Mondays - Thursdays, 10:00 am-12:00 pm and 1:00-5:00 pm
    • Swim time and boating at Elk River, Mondays - Thursdays, 10:00 am-12:00 pm and 1:00-5:00 pm
    • Swim time and boating at Lakamaga, Monday - Thursday, 10:30 am-12:00 pm and 2:00 pm-5:00pm
    • Evening swims at both camps may be available Monday - Wednesday, 6:00-8:00 pm

  • Pricing

    The prices for these activities is as follows when you use our camp staff:

    • Archery, GPS and Low Ropes: $50.00 per hour using the capacities listed above
    • Swimming, Canoeing and Kayaking: $50.00 per hour per 25 campers
    • Girl Scouts River Valleys camps do not charge for request of Camp Store
    • There is no cost when you provide the certified activity leader except for the swimming area. 

    Proof of Certification

    Volunteers running the archery, low ropes and boating activities, must be up-to-date with their certifications. This is in order to be in compliance with both Safety Activity Checkpoints (PDF) and camp industry standards.

    Swimmer and Watcher Ratios

    Volunteer-led day camps provide the watchers (adult volunteers) for each swimming activity time. They assist the lifeguards in watching the water for safe swimming activity and will be oriented by the camp lifeguards. The ratio of watchers to swimmers is 1 watcher for every 10 swimmers.
