1. Services
1.1 The Interpreter agrees to provide interpreting services to the Client for an interview with the immigration office.
1.2 The Interpreter will provide [SIMULTANEOUS/CONSECUTIVE] interpreting services in {typeA45}.
2. Terms and Conditions
2.1 The Interpreter shall:
- Arrive on time and be prepared for the Event
- Maintain confidentiality and impartiality
- Provide accurate and complete interpretations
- Comply with industry standards and codes of ethics
2.2 The Client shall:
- Provide the Interpreter with relevant materials and information in advance
- Ensure the Interpreter has a clear view of the speaker(s) and the audience
- Pay the Interpreter's fees and expenses in accordance with this Agreement
3. Fees and Expenses
3.1 The Interpreter's fees for the Event shall be $100 per hour with a two hour minimum plus 6% sales tax.
3.2 The Client shall reimburse the Interpreter for reasonable expenses incurred in connection with the Event, including [TRAVEL/ACCOMODATION/PARKING] expenses. Travel will be $0.65 cents(subject to change) per mile (in and out).
3.3 The client shall shall bear the payment platform charges. Paypal charges a fee of 3.49% + $0.49 per transaction as of 05/03/2025 (subject to changes if Paypal makes changes). Stripe charges a fee of 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction as of 05/03/2025 (subject to changes if Stripe makes changes). Invoices from both platforms will be sent for client to make their choice.
4. Cancellation and Termination
4.1 If the Client cancels the Event with less than 24 hour notice, the Client shall pay the Interpreter total fees initially agreed upon.
4.2 Either party may terminate this Agreement upon three days' written notice to the other party.
5. Liability and Indemnification
5.1 The Interpreter shall not be liable for any damages or losses arising from the Event, except to the extent caused by the Interpreter's gross negligence or willful misconduct.
5.2 The Client shall indemnify and hold harmless the Interpreter against any claims, damages, or expenses arising from the Event.
6. Confidentiality
6.1 The Interpreter shall maintain the confidentiality of all information and materials provided by the Client.
7. Governing Law
7.1 This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Maryland and the Federal Government of the United States of America .
8. Entire Agreement
8.1 This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes all prior negotiations, understandings, and agreements.
By signing below, the parties acknowledge that they have read, understand, and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
