  • About Nicolas Benore

    Nicolas Benore is a Senior Operations and Analytics Leader with a 20-year career with experience across various facets of Consumer Lending. Currently serving as the Head of Strategy, Planning, and Operational Support at Wells Fargo, Mr. Benore oversees teams responsible for outbound strategy improvements, telephony, workforce management, capacity planning, and NextGen workflow. In this capacity, Mr. Benore has seen first-hand the importance of maintaining a strong security network in order to oversee the protection of millions of dollars of corporate assets.


    He holds an MBA from Michigan State University's Eli Broad College of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology/Business from Western Michigan University. 


    Mr. Benore has been on the LI Board for over ten years and has been passionate about helping young minds pursue their passion. Mr. Benore has worked with Leadership Initiatives since it was founded and is excited to be able to help inspire the next generation of change-makers! 

  • Applicant Information

  • Purpose: The Benore Global Defense Scholarship aims to amplify Nicholas’ efforts to promote careers in security and foreign affairs. This scholarship is designed to empower students to pursue careers in government and international relations, while promoting key concepts of global security, awareness, and innovation.

    Eligibility: The Benore Futures in Global Defense Scholarship is open to rising freshman and graduating seniors in high school who are interested in pursuing a career in National Security, Intelligence, Counterterrorism, or Global Security. 

    Deadline: Benore Futures in Global Defense Scholarship applications must be received no later than December 5th, 2025, to be considered. All scholarships recipients will be announced January 15th, 2026. 

    Scholarship Award: One annual scholarship recipient will be selected to receive a full scholarship to attend the AI & Emerging Technology Internship from July 5th – July 11th, 2026, at Georgetown University based on academic and personal merit. Additionally, ten partial scholarships will be awarded to promising students to attend the internship program.

  • I understand that the 2026 Benore Global Defense Scholarship can only be used to attend the Leadership Initiatives AI & Emerging Technology Internship held at Georgetown University from July 5th – July 11th, 2026. This scholarship can not be transferred to any other program or institution or be requested as a payment. 

    All applications received after the deadline of December 5th, 2025, will not be considered to receive this scholarship. Decisions will be made by the Leadership Initiatives Scholarship Committee and will be announced on January 15th, 2026.
