Only students that have been offered and have accepted a place, or are currently enrolled, at our schools, Islamia Girls School or Brondesbury College, are eligible for a scholarship award.
Scholarship awards are subject to the availability of funds and not all applications are accepted.
Ordinarily, scholarships are not awarded to new Year 7 students, other than in very exceptional circumstances.
The maximum scholarship that can be awarded is 50% of the school fees due from you.
Following an initial assessment of your scholarship application, you may be required to provide documentary evidence to enable us to process your form (e.g. bank statements, payslips, utility bills, proof of income, school reports etc.). Applications will be rejected where no such information is provided on request.
A scholarship award relates only to the school fee. A scholarship award cannot be used for the purpose of other payments you are required to make to the school, such as for security deposits, administration charges, examination fees, school lunches, school uniforms, etc.
Scholarship awards are not transferable to another child, including siblings, or to another school, or academic year.
The award of a scholarship in one academic year is not a guarantee that the same will be awarded for future years. A new application must be made for each year.
Where a scholarship is awarded, the funds are paid directly to the relevant school and subsequently reflected in your school fee invoices.
All scholarships are awarded on the condition that the child shows good academic achievement and progress, excellent behaviour, and excellent attendance throughout their time at the school. All parents and guardians are required to fully support the child’s academic studies, support the work and activities of the school, attend parents’ evenings, and engage with the school in accordance with the Parents Behaviour Policy. Where this is found to not be the case, any scholarship award may be withdrawn with immediate effect.
As a recipient of a scholarship, you agree to providing a testimonial and allowing your name/s and that of your child, together with any approved photographs, to be used in any reports and marketing material related to the Yusuf Islam Foundation, Islamia Schools Limited and/or Yusuf Islam Foundation Scholarship Programme.
The decision of the School on scholarship awards is final.
Applications received after the stated application deadline will not be accepted.
Scholarship awards are confidential and, unless sanctioned by the School, you must not share details of your award with other individuals.
These terms and conditions should be read in conjunction with the 2025/26 Fees & Deposits Terms & Conditions available on the school web site.
Any information you submit as part of this application will be held and assessed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation.
