8/9 FUTURE STARS Eligibility
The following information pertains to the 8/9 FUTURE STARS We ask that all players complete this form, whether you wish to participate or not. Eligible players must have participated in at least 8 regular season team’s games. Any AA or AAA player who is league age 8 or 9, is a possible candidate for the 8/9 FUTURE STARS team. These teams are by selection only. Players that are league age 9 AND also selected to the 9/10 All-Star team will not be eligible. Player eligibility, specifically residence and age eligibility, will be verified and must be proven to District personnel in order to qualify for the team.
8/9 FUTURE STARS Selection
These teams are by selection only. The Future Star Manager(s) select teams based on feedback from Spring coaches, Evaluations, and their own general knowledge of players. As its possible that AAA & AA players are required on the same team, the Future Star manager(s) typically holds an evaluation to assess potential players they did not coach against in the regular season.
Time Commitment
While it is a great honor to be selected as a member of an Future Stars team, there is also a substantial commitment of time and effort required in order to have a successful tournament. The Future Stars season will not end until the tournament competition ends. The commitment can run from late May until late July. Players are expected to attend ALL team practices and social activities.
Playing Time
All positions on the team and in the lineup are earned based on the manager’s evaluation. Per Future Star rules - continuous batting order used & players may not sit two innings in a row
Cost
There is a $195 per player fee payable to “GHLL.” This fees covers costs associated with All Stars including : All Star Team Fees, Custom Jerseys-Hats-Practice Tees, Scrimmages, Umpires, Practice Fields, Practice & Game Balls, & more ****DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE FOR FIREWORK STAND VOLUNTEERING****
