  • Bringing the Community Back Together

    We are thrilled to announce our vision for a community choir in Oceanside, California, on June 29, 2025. We will be performing at the 4th Annual, North San Diego County Black Festival, an event that will draw hundreds of attendees.

    Our choir's aim is to bring together voices from across North County to worship, celebrate, and uplift our community through the power of gospel music.

    We are forming a diverse choir comprised of singers and musicians from various churches in North County. Our goal is to establish this choir as an annual tradition that fosters unity among community members through the uplifting spirit of gospel music.

    The committee leading the North County Gospel Choir consists of four dedicated North County residents:

    Michele Mayes
    Cedric Brown

      We are honored to relaunch at the 4th Annual, North San Diego County Black Festival, and help bring the community together through the power of gospel music.

      • Date: June 29th, 2025
      • Time: 3pm-8pm
      • Location: 4000 Mystra Way, Oceanside, CA
      • Price: Free

      Our Performance with last about 30 minutes and the setlist will feature powerful renditions of

      • The Blood Still Works

      To participate, you must:

      • Be at least 18 years of age
      • Be a believer in Christ
      • Be able to carry a tune
      • Be committed to attending all rehearsals and the program
      • Have a positive attitude and team spirit

      We are asking for donations to reach a goal of $1,500.

      This money will help us pay for our talented musicians, so we can share powerful music with our community. If you feel led to give above and beyond, every extra dollar will help support this choir as we work to make a lasting impact in North County. Your gift helps bring people together and unite the local Christian community through music.

      Everyone who donates will be recognized at the festival as a way to say thank you!

      • Are believers in Christ
      • Can carry a tune
      • Are committed to rehearsals and the performance
      • Have a positive and team-first attitude

      Whether you sing soprano, alto, tenor, or just love to make a joyful noise — we want you with us!

      We can’t wait to lift our voices together and make an impact in North County.
