    Logistics

    • Day Camp runs from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, and includes an optional Thursday night sleepover with dinner and a campfire.
    • Early drop-off is available for an additional $75 for the week. Email Meg if this is needed.
    • Campers need to bring a hearty lunch, two snacks, and a water bottle.
    • Families often carpool; email Meg if you need help connecting with a carpool crew.
    • On Friday at 5 p.m., camper families are invited to a performance and art exhibition followed by light refreshments!
    • Camp is phone and tech-free for campers. Campers are required to leave all tech at home.
    • Either Meg or Josh will be available by phone if you need to communicate with them or your camper.

    Supervision

    • Meg and typically one other adult (usually Josh) along with 2-3 Jr. counselors (Juniper and/or other trusted teenagers) will be on site with your campers.
    • We strive for a 3 to 1 camper-to-staff ratio to ensure high-quality experiences that are simultaneously nurturing and growth-focused.
    • Although always close by, we do create opportunities throughout the week for campers to play and be free without direct staff supervision.
    • Cloud Mountain Arts Camp is appropriate for your child/teen if you feel they can thrive without constant direct supervision.

    Safety

    • We have an abundance of first-aid supplies and staff are well-trained in basic first-aid skills. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
    • We start each camp session with a thorough tour that focuses on camp boundaries, potential hazards and ways to minimize risk and respond appropriately if needed.
    • Environmental hazards such as sun, insects, and other wildlife are all discussed and prepared for, but some surprises are an inevitable part of camp life.
    • Yes, we're an art camp but we also intend for much of our creativity to be inspired by and through nature and so prioritize helping our campers feel comortorable and safe outside for the majority of each day.

  • Teen Art Immersion Details

My dearest wish is for teen creators to find each other and their "creative flock." To form a space where teen creators feel comfortable letting their imaginations (and awesome personalities) roam freely and their creativity soar! This will also be a safe, snug haven full of inspiring ideas and images, yummy food, and comfy places to hang out!

Together, we'll explore our creative curiosities. We'll ask big questions and draw/paint/sculpt/sew our answers to them. We'll pull out all the materials and use them to their fullest capacity. We'll make epic messes and then clean them up...All in service to learning to co-create a world we can live in with our hearts, minds and hands!

    • Teen artists should plan to arrive with their gear for the week on Sunday afternoon between 4-5pm.
    • Parents/guardians are encouraged to enjoy the farm and check in with Meg while their teen gets settled into their bunk.
    • A packing list and creative interest questionnaire will be emailed upon registration.
    • Teens should leave their phones and other tech with their adults knowing that they are always welcome to communicate with their families on Meg's phone if needed.
    • Music can be crucial to creativity. Camp will have a record player and Meg's Spotify played through a speaker. Campers should feel free to share their playlist with Meg before the start of their session.
    • Campers are encouraged to bring along musical instruments if they play them.
    • Parents/guardians are encouraged to resist communicating with their teens during their art immersion. But in the event of an emergency, they can contact their teen via Meg's phone.
    • On Friday at 5 p.m., camper families are invited to an art exhibition followed by light refreshments!
    • Camp is phone and tech-free for campers. Campers are required to leave all tech at home. Did I mention that already?!  :)
    • Either Meg or Josh will be available by phone if you need to communicate with them or your camper.
