Sponsor Circle Application

This application is for new sponsor groups, not previously certified by the Welcome Corps or Sponsor Circle Program.
Thank you for applying to sponsor through the Sponsor Circle Program!

The Sponsor Circle Program matches U.S. volunteers with Afghan allies stranded overseas and refugees who have already lawfully arrived in the United States and are in need of a warm welcome and community support.

This application is for groups who were not previously certified through the Sponsor Circle Program or Welcome Corps. Please note:
- Certified Welcome Corps applications would have been fully reviewed and approved before January 21, 2025.
- If your group was certified your group coordinator would have received an email with the subject line: Congratulations! [Your Sponsor Group Name] is Certified.
If you applied for the Welcome Corps and received an email that your application was certified, you should begin an accelerated Sponsor Circle Program application at sponsorcircles.org/apply.

The application should take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. Before starting, please ensure that you have:
1. Completed the first chapter of the Welcome Plan and Journey Guide, and that all members of your sponsor circle have signed the Sponsor Commitment Form included in it.
2. At least one member has completed the Community Sponsorship Essentials Training for the Sponsor Circle Program and holds a certificate of completion.
3. Proof of raised funds for sponsorship support.
