To ensure we continue the momentum of great committee member work in our Strategic Planning Committees, we are seeking Member Participation for Volunteer Committee Positions and Future Leadership Opportunities.
If you ever wanted to be more involved with ICPHSO, here is a great way to contribute.
ICPHSO's 5-year strategic plan (2020 - 2025) includes a number of initiatives and corresponding committees that you can consider playing an active part in.
Committee members are asked to consider the initiatives and make recommendations on how best to achieve the goals of the committees they serve.
Strategic Plan Initiatives/Committees are:
Membership Development: Have an engaged and knowledgeable member base that includes all stakeholder groups. Look at providing additional member benefits and explore options for expanding membership categories.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engaging all stakeholders has been proven to lead to the best product safety outcomes. Including stakeholders from all sectors will remain a core part of ICPHSO and will present ICPHSO with the opportunity to have new talents, skills, and points of view.
Committees & Governance: Committees shape the foundation under which ICPHSO operates and governance must remain relevant and updated in today’s environment.
Communication: Communication between ICPHSO and its stakeholders is an integral part of ICPHSO.
Annual Symposium Student Mentorship: Develop guidelines for future students and look at the potential to expand the mentorship program to include recently hired product safety professionals and assist in the implementation of these programs.
International Symposium Student Mentorship: A student mentorship program specific to the International Symposium.
Responsibilities:
-Committee members serve with terms of one to two years, depending on the needs of the committee. Leadership roles within committees may have extended terms.
-Committees are expected to convene at least quarterly, with the possibility of more frequent meetings at the discretion of the current chair.
-Space for committee participation is limited. If you are an ICPHSO member interested in contributing to the organization’s future, please complete the form by June 30, 2025.
-If you are not currently an ICPHSO member or have let your membership lapse but plan to renew or activate your membership if selected for a committee, please indicate this when submitting the committee application form.
