PRO TIP 2: If you do not feel like transferring photos from your phone to a computer for this form, we highly recommend opening the email link to this form with your mobile phone so you can take and upload pictures directly from there.

PRO TIP 3: Use a ruler, your hand, or a pen to provide a size reference when photographing wear and damage to your home. Using a ruler in the picture frame showing the size of a crack or a finger pressed up against the wall for comparison's sake is supportive.

These can be photos of common household wear and tear, damage. Commonly old fixtures, cracked tile/foundation/walls/ceilings. This can also include photos of obviously old HVAC and plumbing systems, roofing problems, insulation, damaged flooring and stained/torn carpet. Old furniture can also be submitted. If you have rooms that have looked the same for decades, that is relevant information that the county does not know about when it makes its appraisal.

6. INVOICES: Upload invoices of work done to the property. If having trouble, take a picture of your invoices and upload the invoices at pictures.

These invoices can be for essential and non-essential home maintenance reasons. If a tree fell through your roof and it was repaired, that's powerful and indisputable evidence to present to the review board. On the other hand, if you remodeled your kitchen over the past year, that will be less powerful but could still be useful if framed correctly. It is up to you what you wish to disclose, but we use our best judgement and experience to only present evidence to the board that does not hurt your protest case.

7. ESTIMATES: Upload any estimates of any work that needs to be done. Take pictures of estimates if that works for you. If you find if difficult securing estimates, don't fret. The next questions will allow you to elaborate on anything else that would be compelling to know. We will secure appropriate estimates.

Similar to invoices, but more flexible. Texas True Tax also produces some independent estimates for the purpose of the case but will use yours if yours are more favorable to your case.
