  • Video Submission Guidelines
To help us better understand your artistic background and current level of performance, please submit one video (3–5 minutes) that best represents your abilities as a dancer.

    Your video should:

    • Clearly show your full body whenever possible.
    • Be 3–5 minutes in length.
    • Demonstrate your movement quality, musicality, artistry, performance presence, and technical ability.
    • Showcase you performing solo or clearly identifiable within a group.
    • May include class footage, rehearsals, performances, choreography, improvisation, or a combination of these.
    • Professional-quality recordings are not required. Videos recorded on a smartphone are perfectly acceptable, provided you are clearly visible.

    Selecting Your Video
Applicants are not required to submit a video of African or African diasporic dance. We encourage you to submit the video that best represents your current technical ability, artistry, musicality, performance quality, and movement experience.

Selected artists should be enthusiastic about learning, training, and performing African and African diasporic dance traditions as part of their experience with Muntu Dance Theatre.
