Appraisal Information
Our trained, GIA-certified appraiser will meticulously evaluate your jewelry to determine its retail replacement value—the cost of purchasing a comparable piece in today’s market.
Insurance Appraisal
Our Independent Jewelry Appraiser writes Insurance appraisals for the purpose of obtaining insurance. These Insurance appraisals will reflect full retail/new replacement values.
Fair Market Value Appraisals
Our Independent Jewelry Appraiser also writes Fair Market Value appraisals which will work for IRS, Donation and Estate Purposes. These Fair Market Value appraisals take into consideration the physical state of condition of the piece and current market conditions and values.
The Independent Jewelry Appraiser is here and takes appointments on Wednesday mornings from 10 am to noon. He also comes in on Fridays but does not take appointments, (If you like, you may drop off your items in advance at any time during business hours).
Written Appraisals start at $95 per item and go up from there depending on the complexity of the item. An Appraisal appointment is only needed if you are needing a WRITTEN appraisal.
Buying vs Sorting Information
Sorting Appointment
A sorting appointment with the Buyer/Graduate Jeweler Gemologist required if you would like to have your jewelry collection organized and evaluated. Our sorting appointment is an informal process where we sit down with you to determine what is real versus what is costume, or to organize an estate jewelry collection. If you are looking to have your jewelry sorted but NOT sold you'll need to set up a sorting appointment.
Buying Appointment
A buying appointment with the Buyer/Graduate Jeweler Gemologist is required if you would like to have your jewelry collection organized, evaluated and ARE interested in selling some or all of the pieces.
The Buyer/Graduate Jeweler Gemologist is here and takes appointments Wednesdays thru Saturdays 11am - 4pm.
