  • Rules & Information

    • Participants MUST be sanctioned members of the Hudson Valley U.S.B.C.  Bowlers who are not sanctioned with the Hudson Valley U.S.B.C. Association must pay applicable cross-over fees of $15.00/National, $8.00/Local and $1/State.

    • ENTRY DEADLINE: Reserved (prepaid) entries close 1 week prior to the Tournament.  Walk-ins based on lane availability.

    • Participants wishing to bowl together must submit entry forms together in advance and indicate such.  “Bowl with” may be on the adjoining pair, based on Lane capacity.  Walk-ins may not request who to bowl with.

    • Format: This is an Open Tournament; any combination of Men or Women is allowed.

    • Check-In will open 60 minutes prior to Squad start time, entire Team must be present with their U.S.B.C. cards.

    • Multiple participation is allowed.

    • Team and Double/Singles DO NOT HAVE to be bowled the same day.

    • All Events must be entered before bowling a Team or Doubles/Singles Event.

    • Bowlers who enter the All Events are required to bowl a combined Team and Doubles / Singles Event.

    • All Events is the 9 game combined handicap scores of Team, Doubles and Singles.

    • A Team may only cash once, unless at least 2 members of the Team have been replaced.

    • Doubles partners can only cash once as a team. Individuals bowling with a different Doubles partners may cash multiple times.

    • A re-entry in Doubles does not require a re-entry in Singles.

    • Bowlers must select different squads for Team and Double/Singles events.

    • Singles may only cash once.

    • Bowlers scores for the first time they bowl in each event will be counted for All Events.  This includes the first Doubles bowled without Singles.

    • Doubles/Singles will be bowled consecutively in the same Squad (6 games).

    • If one Bowler is late for the Doubles Event, the present bowler may bowl Singles first upon request.

    • Averages based on highest 2024-2025 winter season book average, (2) the highest 2023-2024 or (3) 2024-2025 summer, in that order, will be used. If no average exists, then (4) the highest weekly 2025-2026 average of at least 21 games (this Average MUST be certified in writing by the League Secretary and be presented at check-in least ½ hour before bowling), Bowlers who fail to supply this information will bowl scratch with an average of 230. Averages will be verified by the Association Manager. Rules 319-a2, 319-d and 319-e do NOT Apply.Handicap is 90% of 230 for Singles, 90% of 460 for Doubles and 90% of 920 for Team.

    • There will be Handicap Brackets available during each squad.

    • 1st Place winners in each of the 3 Events will be invited to the HVUSBC Annual Awards Brunch.

    • The Tournament Directors will address all disputes and have final say in all rulings.

    • Any rules not addressed here will follow U.S.B.C. Rules.

    • HVUSBC will be contributing $500 towards the tournament Prize Fund in addition to Entry Prize Fees received if 50 or more bowlers enter the Tournament, 4750 if 75 enter and $1,000 if 100 enter.

    • Checks made payable to Hudson Valley USBC or HVUSBC.
