    1. Where/who are we as a collective?
Since January 2024, we have grown as a new collective, with a few members from the former group "Meta:morfosis" which was founded four years ago. We have truly metamorphosed! We are slowly building a space for collectivity amongst ourselves. We aspire support each other in our practices through the collective's support. Looking into the future we would like to expand more to the outside to create a space where exchange, art, knowledge, and resistance/resilience can happen, even more so a place of community.

    This means:
We spent a year developing a foundation for how we want to work together using the AG system, as well as an eye-to-eye and heart-to-heart system for making decisions and taking care of each other. We also faced material challenges with the container we are in, which required a lot of effort. However, because of that, we've built an understanding of each other and things over time, and it's worked well.

Now, we have more capacity to focus on tuning in. What values do we share, and how can we implement them in the structures we're going to create? We are also discussing how we can organize ourselves better to share the work. Other than that, It has always been, and still is, an atmosphere of:

Do as much as feels good within your boundaries, find what you like, and enjoy the process of being a group organism. If you feel overwhelmed or tired, take a break or find support. For us the upside of being many means that if one person needs rest, we hold everything collectively.

    2. What is the workload involved in being part of SPARK?

    A. We are organized in an AG structure:

You will be part of two "AGs" (Arbeitsgemeinschaft, or working group). These AGs include AG Finances, AG Cleaning, AG Garden, AG Social Media and Website, AG Weekend Rental, AG Events, AG New People, AG Janitor.

Each AG has a different workload, depending on the phase we are in. For example, if many new people are interested in SPARK, the AG for new people will be more active. If it's spring, the AG for gardening will be active. The AG for finances meets every month to do bookkeeping, etc. The AG Social Media updates our Instagram, etc.

We encourage you to chose one AG that brings you joy and another that needs members and 'needs to be done'. In general, we are fine-tuning our work processes, and there is always space for ideas, changes, and adaptations.

    B. We have
    one in-person plenum per month:

It alternates between Saturdays from 2-6 pm (incl. 1 hr communal brunch) and Mondays from 5:30-8 pm (incl. half hour social time) so most people can come. This is a valuable moment to gather with the whole group and make decisions concerning the whole collective but also to just spend time together.

    C. We clean the space ourselves

The cleaning plan is updated every three months. Your cleaning task is scheduled on the day(s) you have your slot(s). You clean every week. Depending on the task it takes 15-30 minutes.

    3. What are the slots and how much do they cost?
We have a system of two slots per day:

    • Morning: 8am - 2.45pm
    • Afternoon: 3pm - 10pm

Please think about what day/time of the day would be suitable for you. Currently, we have more availability in the mornings than evenings. But feel free to fill out the form based on your needs and we will let you know what's free.

One slot costs 100 euros. This is the base to be part of the collective so we ask that you take at least one slot.
You can also book additional session as needed, depending on the availability of the room you are practicing in.This costs 10% of your income per session.

This is helpful if you are starting your freelance career as a practitioner or if you want to establish yourself further and have two or three slots per week, as some of us do.

    4. One last thing:

Be aware of what you need to do your work. For example, we don't have electrical tables, which are often needed for physical therapy or osteopathy. These details might determine whether you can work here.

Thank you for reading until the end! Please take time to consider whether your work, resources, and needs could match the collective and viceversa. If everything that you read feels like a match please continue filling out the form and we'll arrange a meeting so you can see the rooms. :)
