  • Calling All Vizslas!  The Vizlsa Club of Northern California Fun Field Day is a day in the field with your beloved Vizsla getting to see what they were bred to do.  Find and point BIRDS!  If you haven't ever attended, it's a fun day with fellow Vizsla lovers and experienced people/dogs in the field to help mentor you and your dog.  A demonstration of experienced dogs working birds will be at 8am after check in.We are having AKC tests available to put titles on your dogs.  AKC Fit Dog Organized Walk, AKC Canine Good Citizen Testing, AKC Trick Dog, and AKC Fetch will be available.  Title your Vizsla and support our VCNC Fun Field day. LOCATION:Hastings Island Hunt Club7758 Hastings Island RoadRio Vista, CA 94571

    Entries Close on 4/12/2025 bracing Sheets will be emailed out Wednesday 4/16.

  • Remember, please use a separate entry form for EACH dog. Entries and lunches need to be prepaid for in advance through the Zelle link. The cost per entry is $55 for members or $70 for non-members. Please add $15 for each lunch.

                  • Things to know/expect


                    Check in will begin at 7:15. Please give yourself plenty of time.

                    Once you are on Hastings Island the speed limit is 15MPH.

                    Demonstration will be at 8am. Come watch what got many of us hooked on bird dog events.

                    Eveyone on the island needs to check in (with car licence plate #) and check out. This is a safety measure. No dogs allowed in the clubhouse

                    Plan on comfortable shoes/clothing. We will be in the fields and the ground is uneven. Grasses can be tall.

                    Blaze Orange is required in the field for all people. We will have a few vests to borrow if you don't have any blaze orange.

                    All dogs need to be on leash at all times except during your running brace with your mentor.

                    Dogs need to wear a flat collar in the field. No harnesses in the field.

                    Sunblock is recommended.

                    Bring snacks for you and your dog. Lunches are available to prepurchase at the time of sign ups. It's a fun day to meet and get to know fellow Vizsla owners.

                    We will run rain or shine.

                    Be ready to see your dog have the BEST DAY EVER!
